wanaka plantation road room

It's a great location - just 10 mins walk to the main centre. Perfect for a one night stay. The room was very basic but I found the bed reasonably comfortable. It's a good option as it's cheap for Wanaka. I liked that I could park at the property, right near my room. The check in was very easy. Kettle provided and a cup. Warm as there are heaters and the shower was good - nice and hot.

It was clean enough but could do with improving. I was almost put off by the smell when I first checked in and was looking at options to stay elsewhere, but it wasn't too bad once it was aired. The carpet is very worn and old and was dusty under the bed.

The bedding was clean and fresh. The bathroom and toilet were clean and everything worked. There was good communication from the owner. This is a very cheap room for Wanaka and you have to expect that it is not going to be 5 star. Or even 3. But it was warm, comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. I stayed one night. I am cycle touring.

Nothing. Expectations were met. Well, the carpet could really do with replacement.
