Fine if you just wanted a bed for the night

Provided a cup & a glass and an electric jug. There was no plates or cutlery, so had to provide my own.. Some tea or coffee would of been nice.

I liked the comfort of the bed, clean sheets, the warm heater, the convenience of an ensuite, external entrance, and off street parking. The price seemed good for non share room. Host and family seemed friendly.

The room was part of a family home directly off kitchen/dining. I think this should be advertised as a room with air bnb not booking.com. I had thought I was coming to a hostel type situation. There was no bolt on the door between family home and bedroom which made me feel unsafe, so I didn’t sleep well. It was noisy from internal activities ( eg kitchen cooking at 11.30pm), and noisy as near a busy road intersection and main highway. Although the shower looked clean, I was did not want to use it as there was a used face cloth scrunched on shelf in shower. The towels were thread bare. It had said there was a kettle - so I expected a cup/mug and spoon …. but only one small glass. It could benefit from having a small fridge. The carpet looked stained and grubby.

Value for the price good for short stay need to access to kitchen at least for some basic cooking or microwave

Good location and comfortable with the electric blanket.

Shower was really cold couldn't maintain warm water for more than 1 minute. Couldn't shower properly in winter as a result. Can be a bit noisy as next to kitchen and family wakes up early but tolerable for me.

Great location so handy to main road into Wanaka but little traffic noise noticed. Hosts are really lovely people.

It’s the most economical fee of the room that I found in wanaka. I booked it for Ice climbing base camp.
