"Friendly, efficient and relaxing break"

Bonnie, Jack, Ellie, Jill, Toby, Ruby and rest of team make Yama Lodge shine. We had the most wonderful first Japan snow experience because of this team of human beings. The pick up and drop service makes heavy gear and easy dinners possible.

Hard to improve on perfection. Maybe just a few extra hanging hooks to properly dry towels.

Complementary breakfast in the morning. I'm gluten free and they accommodated to that for a hot breakfast every morning - I even got to have pancakes, which was a treat for me. Hubby got to have a range of different stuff and they have tea and coffee in the mornings and early arvos too. One of the only places on the mountain that have an onsen and a private one at that too! They have two seperate ones with a indoor and outdoor. Perfect for after skiing all day to soothe those sore muscles! The owners and staff are the kindest, most amazing people. They really made the stay memorable with their chats, the way they remember your name and how willing they are to help/answers questions. They also have a dinner shuttle van too and one that takes you to go get your skiing gear, super super helpful! The lodge itself is very well taken care of and the beds comfortable. A toasty fire to keep you warm and only 100m from the slopes so you can ride straight down to the main lifts!

Great location, amazing staff that couldn’t do enough for you. Warm cozy welcoming feeling the moment you walked through the door. Ski out the door from the lodge. Fantastic private onsen.

Just needed some hooks to hang our towels after we used them to dry.

Fantastic Aussie owner and staff made us feel extremely welcome and they were always happy to help out such as restaurant drop off and pick-ups. Loved the indoor/outdoor onsen. Breakfast was perfect. Great location, few minute walk to the slopes where you could then ski to chair lifts
