The freshly made breakfast every morning was amazing, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We also really appreciated the convenient shuttle service to the station and nearby restaurants.

The room and bathroom were a bit small, but having access to the onsen bath made it even better!

An amazing lodge at the quiet end of Madarao - located near P7 it's almost ski-in / ski-out. Beautiful dining and lounge area with an open fire pit, which is amazing. Large drying room and the bonus - two private hot baths that you can book out for 45 minutes each day - what a luxury!!! Each onsen has both an indoor (hotter) and outdoor (cooler) bath. Amazing staff and amenities provided - shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Free drops and picks for dinner in Madarao, which is amazing. Free supply of continental breakfast, bread, rice (with Japanese condiments), coffee, tea and juice. Laundry is also at no charge.

The room we had was a little tight - we ended up using the extra bed as our storage area for bags, and there was little room for hanging things out to dry in the room (towels, etc.). The washer / dryer is free - but with the intermittent power cuts and lots of people trying to wash and dry (long dryer cycle) at the same time, we ended up drying our clothes in our room over several days. Hot breakfast is an included as an option, most of the servings are on the small side - but there is plenty of toast & rice to get ready for the ski day.
