Lovely cottage in the centre of Ellesmere. Martin was a great host and really helpful to us. I would stay again.

Zu zweit hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Cottage. Alles war blitzsauber, der vorhandene Platz wurde klug genutzt und die Innentreppe war mit weichen Teppichen ausgelegt. Die Küche war mit ALLEM ausgestattet - neben Kaffeekapseln, Zucker und Süssstoff zusätzlich sogar mit selbstgebackenen Keksen in der Dose und Milch im Kühlschrank (um nur ein paar der Sachen zu nennen)– vielen lieben Dank dafür. Ausserdem veranlasste Martin durch Registrierung des Autokennzeichens dafür, dass man am Comrades Club kostenlos parken konnte, was super war, herzlichen Dank. Wir hatten einen super Ausgangspunkt für die Fahrten in die Umgebung.

Ein klitzekleines Manko ist, dass eines der Schlafzimmer direkt an der Durchgangsstrasse des kleinen Ortes liegt, was für diejenigen ungewohnt ist, die nicht daran gewöhnt sind. Allerdings hat die Lage des Hauses auch den Vorteil, dass man gleich viele Geschäfte ( Cafe, Markthalle, Co-op, Secondhand-Shops, Pubs etc.) in sehr wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichen kann.

The cottage is well appointed, comfortable, and stylishly decorated. They were kind enough to include instant coffee (regular and decaf), tea, milk, a couple of water bottles, snacks, salt and pepper.

The cottage was so beautiful and clean and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It was even decorated for Christmas with a tree, festive cushions, decorations and ornamemts, home made mince pies and cookies and even a filled stocking with chocolates and a toy for our dog!! It really was the loveliest welcome and made our stay even more special. I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere more thoughtfully put together that felt so cosy and homely - it's a really lovely place to stay.
