Absolutely nothing, the tent was scruffy and dirty and there were black streaks on the sides of the tent. We found 2 cigarette buts on the rugs Inside the tent. Infact the whole tent was a hazard,my husband fell backwards badly injuring his back because he triped over and fell backwards on one of the mats that were curled up at the edges. He consequently suffered a severe back injury and we spent all the next day at AnE.and he was in severe pain. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and I could feel the bed springs protruding from the mattress when I went to bed.. The outdoor kitchen area was also dreadful,it was poorly fabricated and let driving rain come in over the work services, because there was insufficient overhang around the edges of the roof.Only one of the gas rings seem to work and it would have been insufficient if more than one person wanted to cook. The grass was over grown around all if the tents with large clumps extending up the sides. The whole site looked shoddy and uncared for. The only positive was that the toilet and shower block was clean..

Please see above .My husband suffered a severe back injury because of the hazards in the tent. The tent was dirty and the bed mattress had springs protruding from it making it very uncomfortable..There were no staff around either. The tent was extremely cold, there was no additional heating so by 6.00pm wearing 2 jumpers and coats we started to feel the cold so we had no option but to go to bed fully clothed to warm up. It was the worst experience we have ever had.

1 Day before my planned hiking trip to the English Coast.I received Confirmation of my reservation with Bigbury Bell Tents. 1 hour later I received notice that my reservation was cancelled due to over booking! How is that possible? 5 yurts maximum 5 reservation, pretty simple. Luckily I was able to make a last minute reservation in Kingston. I cannot really review this place because was not allowed to stay there. Please fix your reservation system for future visitors. Bigbury on Sea is a beautiful place and when I did walk past the campsite to catch the Ferry it looked very nice.

Beautiful location with views of the sea and over Burgh Island. The campsite facilities were clean and not too busy and we particularly enjoyed the Beach Barista coffee! The tents were clean and comfortable as well as being well stocked with tea, coffee, crockery and a mokapot. There was plenty of space to park. Communication with Raz was easy and replied to messages very quickly. We would like to return before too long!

"Ideal for a short stay and a good night’s sleep."

Superb location on the hill overlooking the sea and only a short walk down to the beach and Burgh Island. The tent was furnished with everything we needed and a very comfortable bed.

The shared kitchen was rather exposed in the wind and morning drizzle.
