Cinnamon Wild Yala

The location is nice, good hotel facilities.

Our stay was disappointing, particularly as vegetarians and as honeymooners. The café/bar near the reception and pool area offers a very limited menu, and both the food quality and service were below expectations. On our first day, we ordered a pasta dish that arrived with only pasta and sauce, while several ingredients listed on the menu were missing. The dessert we ordered was also missing nearly half of the advertised ingredients. On the second day, we ordered a vegetarian meal, but it arrived containing chicken. As a result, we did not feel comfortable ordering anything else and ended up skipping dinner altogether. We had also informed the property in advance that we were celebrating our honeymoon. Unfortunately, there were no honeymoon amenities, special arrangements, or any gesture that made the occasion feel acknowledged. Overall, the dining experience and lack of attention to a special celebration fell well below our expectations.

The hotel is located in a very nice area very close to the National Park, with the beach on one side (not possible however to go in the water since there are too many waves) and a lake on the other. The lake is full of crocodiles: very scary at first, but actually then it is very nice. Breakfast is good, dinner could be better but has plenty of food and variations. There are plenty of fauna to be seen around, including monkeys, rabbits, iguanas, and one night there was even an elephant wandering around the property.

We had the beach view cabin (should be the higher class) - the room was quite dark with only some lights, and a couple of small windows. The view to the beach is limited, so it is not really a big plus and in my opinion the jungle rooms would have been better or more value for money. The air conditioning is poorly located in front of the beds, so you have over night the cold air hitting on your face and it is also quite loud. Overall, is a resort very well located that shows the sign of times.

Het hotel lag dicht bij het national park. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en wist wie je was, ze wisten ook waar je graag zat tijdens het eten. Personeel toonde veel interesse in de activiteiten, zoals wat je had gezien op safari. Het ontbijt en avondeten was erg wisselent en uitgebreid, de lunch was a la carte omdat we in laagseizoen verbleven maar ook heerlijk

The resort itself is absolutely outstanding, the surrounding setting is beautiful. The room was precious, and we really liked walking in the beautiful beach.

At check out ask we had to dispute the incorrect charges included in our bill. Although the erroneous items (drinks from a bar that we did not visit) were removed, we had to review three times the itemized folio to receive the correct invoice.

Loved to proximity to Yala and the feeling of staying where the wildlife lives. The bungalows are comfortable and the pool was very nice as well.

Be aware that a Yala safari arranged through the hotel costs at least double what you would pay if you arrange it directly through one of the safari companies in town and offer the exact same experience.

The resort is close to the park entrance and also there is a beach close by. It created the wild life atmosphere and felt very jungle type

Food was very average and also breakfast time was too close to end of morning safari and it created a rush.
