"Beser Bay is a great location for exploring this area of Raja Ampat. The boat crew were great."

9.0

Comfortable bungalow with plenty of space esp. out front. Nice food. Helpful, friendly family of staff/owners.

The shared bathrooms were pretty worn and tired but they were constructing new ones which looked great. A list of prices for activities would have been useful as we had partly chosen this place based on the list shown in the website photo gallery but there was non when we arrived. The boats are not covered so be prepared for tropical rain and sun.

"Think twice before booking"

5.0

pro's: -location -remote -wooden bungalow -bed -bathroom -interventions made by Lucia, she was the only one making us feel respected as humans, Thank you for that.

cons: -unfriendly -lack of communication -not welcoming -almost no variety in food -unhygenic sanitary conditions aswell as food -overpriced excursions, other homestays offer better prices for exactly the same trips

"Friendly staff and nice houses"

8.0

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The houses are big and pleasant. You can use the two canoes to explore the nearby mangrove. The food was good. In the evening, you can watch the sunset on the terrace.

Snorkelling around the homestay is not as interesting as other places; you must take a boat. The breakfast is a little bit small: just a sweet cake.

"Spacious bungalow, big terrace, great food and friendly staffs"

10.0

The staffs are friendly, the excursion, day trip price is reasonable, foods are full board, meals are great with variety of fish, meat and vegetables, fruits. Location is great and close to most attractions dive, snorkeling spots. The house reef is ok and easy to swim when high tide. Bungalow is huge with 2 stories and can easily accommodate 4-5 people, love the terrace, it’s spacious and spectacular view, we can spend all day on the terrace, lots of fishes to spot like baby shark, walking shark and some beauty bird

The shared bathroom makes it difficult if need to go toilet at night, and electricity is only run from 6 pm to midnight which makes some nights a bit hot without fans but sleeping on the terrace also a good option

"Superb"

9.0

Wonderful homestay with a great team who provide very nice snorkeling trips, good food, great bungalow with a view on the bay with many birds and fish. Baby sharks and walking sharks swim by every day and night and a wonderful view from the jetty, especially during sunset. Definitely like to go here again and recommend this homestay.

"Would go back in a heartbeat"

10.0

We absolutely loved our stay at Beser Bay. The bungalows are located in a beautiful spot, slightly tucked away but with amazing sunset views. The bungalows are large and spacious and very comfortable. Power is limited (6pm-midnight), but that’s plenty of time to re-charge phones, cameras, etc. We were always able to get good cell service (we had Telkomsel SIM cards). We loved how quiet it was here eg you don’t hear music from nearby villages etc so it’s very peaceful. The food was insanely good, to the point that if they released a cook book I would buy it. The food varied each night, with lots of veg cooked in different and delicious ways. Plenty of fish, plus eggs and chicken. Highlight were the 4pm snacks like cakes from the village or their home made chocolate donuts or banana puffs for breakfast. We never went hungry here..! Excursions were reasonably priced (bring a ton of cash) - we loved visiting Citrus Ridge and Aulin Reef were maybe the highlights. House reef is worth doing (we saw nudibranches) - hard to snorkel there at low tide but you just have to time when you go in and otherwise do excursions or just read a good book. We did the red bird of paradise tour from here - definitely worth it (just bring a ton of repellent). If you need to find more people for a tour, walk to the Homestay around the corner / rock and join their tours or get guests there to join yours. You also see baby rays and sharks swimming around the bungalows. Hosts were so lovely and friendly - we liked that they left us to ourselves most of the time but if we had questions or wanted a chat, so they were around.

It got pretty hot at night and there were a fair few mosquitos - bring plenty of repellent (we had a selection and layered them) and get to bed when the fans are on before the power goes out. I’d go back in a heartbeat notwithstanding those things. Only recommendation I can make to the hosts is to put a mosquito net over the outdoor mattress on the deck so guests can sleep outside when it’s hot.

"Best bungalows and unique location!"

10.0

These were the best bungalows we stayed in (out of 5) in Raja Ampat. We loved the big deck area and mattress outside, and the little foyer was great for our breakfast and afternoon snack delivery (another bonus!). Meals were delicious and location is excellent. Snorkeling put at the reef was great, and the Gam Bay tour is highly recommended.

The dining area was very hot with the tin roof (even though it was kinda neat in the cave-like setting), but not a deal breaker at all.
