The staff were always attentive, without being intrusive. They handled a few special requests promptly and efficiently. We truly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return!

The only (slight) drawback was that the property is somewhat distant from el centro. Moto taxis were always readily available and the tours picked us up at the hotel entrance, so this was not a major problem. Additionally, the staff called when we needed a (real) taxi.

Very nice pool. Very polite and nice staff. Good food in restaurant. Pleasant and spacious rooms. Silent place.

Little bit far from center but taxi was always called and price for taxi is not high. The only complaint is about breakfast - small portions, small choice.

Amazing hotel, it truly is 5* Having stayed in more than 3000+ hotels/lodges over the last 3 decades, this place is absolutely fabulous. The attention to detail is faultless, the place oozes love for surrounds. I stayed in 2 other places in Tarapoto - this is the No.1 choice if you seek a beautiful, tranquil, relaxing stay with super pool, lovely food (sushi is fantastic!) and wonderful staff.

Overall the staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite. We were able to arrange a surprise birthday cake for my son.

We needed just a 1 night stay after a long drive so did not have any intention (after our late arrival) of exploring Tarapoto. For this reason, the hotel (which is out of town and does not appear to be in such a great wandering around area) was perfect. We used the pool which was a lovely treat for us and had a drink at the bar but we did not dine at the restaurant. The place was generally quiet - just a few other guests it seemed so there was not a restaurant vibe which would have been issue had we needed to eat there. The staff were very nice and gave us a welcome drink and the barman was also charming. The air conditioning in the room did not work so well but the room was otherwise very large and comfortable for the 3 of us. We paid our bill in advance of leaving but got chased to our taxi as we had not paid for the bottled water which had been placed in the room for us. It would have been nice to know in advance that there was a cost for this so we were a bit miffed about this - not a big deal but you feel slightly exploited about stuff such as this.

Surrounding area - it didn't seem so welcoming and the hotel is behind locked gates and a high wall so there is a sense of being locked in for safety reasons. Not a place perhaps to stay at if you wish to explore Tarapoto but perfectly ok if, like us, you wanted somewhere to sleep before moving on. Being charged for bottled water having not been told that there was a cost for this (waters placed in the room for our use). The A/C unit in the bedroom did not work as well as it ought to have worked (but at least we had some AC which was a treat).
