Crab Hall

The breakfast was bad plate had to much grease on eggs where awfully not nice at all there was noting good about this place u have to walk out the place to go next door but 1 to go for anything as no facilities in the place at all.

For a start the room was dirty paying £500for 2 nights i would expect the place spotless but cobwebs in every window dirty on floor and toilet not clean when I saw this told manager and said would get it sorted the next day we was out till 8pm got back and nothing been done when we left on the Sunday complained but they weren't intrested ended up in a argument then manager was disrespectful using bad language to me and the waitress also using bad language and started pushing her self against me telling me to get out then manager started also this crab hall is a run down horrible building it's apart of bagley hall this is where all the argument happened the staff need sacking for treating customers like that

Staff superb hotel was superb

The food was ok but had 2 fillet steaks 1 rare and 1 well done both the same !!! And at £35 a steak that’s not good

Its on the main road into town and being Summer it was quite warm but with the windows open it was very noisy. The bed wasn't very comfortable..

Proximity to town was excellent. Breakfast was amazing. Free car parking a bonus.

No air conditioning

Crab Hall is joined to Bagdale Hall a splendid period house, full of history, and the Owners have done well to keep the hotel authentic. The reception is in Bagdale Hall as is breakfast and the restaurant. We had evening meal and the food was good. Breakfast was fine. Lots of tea bags and milk in the room for a nice cup of tea. Lovely little beer garden attached to Bagdale Hall for guests to enjoy. Nice big room with everything you need for a good night's sleep and car parking too. Location is brilliant; just yards from the bus terminus and railway station and a few more steps to the harbour and the bustle of this lovely seaside town and fishing harbour. Lady on reception, worked really hard and was there for our booking in, evening email and breakfast and she was very helpful, thank you.

Associated property (Bagdale Hall) is superb. Room fine, bathroom great. Staff were universally pleasant and helpful. Free parking right in the centre of Whitby. We won't stay anywhere else.

4 poster bed is quaint but impractical in the modern world. TV dodgy to operate and hard to view from a 4 poster. No wi-fi. Outdoor furniture not cleaned of seagull droppings.
