Missed that it was vegan

It’s situation beside a lovely beck. The great old part of the building and the open restaurant and outside tables. Friendly staff and very dog welcome. It was interesting to see what can be done within a plant-based menu.

The vegan/vegetarian menu was fine for me but my husband would have trouble with the menu after one supper so perhaps just a little accommodation for the non-vegetarians or those who need to be on the ‘dark side’ for a moment.

In a beautiful location beside a beck, we loved sitting with a drink listening to the water. Although neither my husband or I are vegan, we enjoyed the food which was tasty and beautifully presented. Our room was clean, cosy and tastefully decorated with a lovely big shower. The staff were all really friendly and the service excellent.

Fantastic,peaceful location. Lots to see in Malham. Vegan food was fantastic & a refreshing change not having to check ingredients..Our Dog was made to feel very welcome too. A very special place.

Undeniably picturesque. The location is great for walking straight from the hotel.

It being advertised as a plant-based hotel we were expecting a breakfast feast of grains, nuts and fruit but we were very disappointed by the unimaginative food that was on offer. Whilst basically clean, much of the hotel is scruffy. For instance the seats in the dining room are grubby and one pillow on the bed smelt awful and should be replaced. The bed linen and towels were tired. The door to the rooms could have done with a coat of paint as could the room in which we stayed. It being a dog friendly hotel expect to be kept awake and woken up by yapping pooches. We felt that the hotel traded on it’s location and it’s unadventurous plant based and doggy credentials and did not represent value for money.
