Nahas Beach Resort

Nice peaceful location next to the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Wifi wasn't working after cyclone in the area a few days before

Resort was good though the jacuzzi had foul odor. Beach is not so good. It was too crowded and dirty, opposite to the photo in the listing.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. The ambience of the resort is good. There are tables and chairs outside the room where you can drink. I like the huge garden, very spacioua which my furbabies also enjoyed. The food is really, really good and price is so affordable. They just don't have an actual restaurant but you can request "paluto", which is limited, but they'll cook these for you.

Nearby resosrts play karaoke almost all-day long and can be heard in the room, though not too loud. They also have limited staff in the kitchen which I think needs to be increased.

Property is small but VERY well taken care of and beautiful. Walled and secured on all sides with security at the entrance. Felt very safe while here. From the moment we arrived - staff was friendly. Joel the security guard greeted us. Mr. Rafi was our driver arranged by the resort - he too was great. I didn't really know WHAT to expect coming down to Nahas Resort and I get nervous when I know what to expect but we were very well taken care of and I would gladly bring my family again to this resort. The owners are brothers - both Mr. Nahas' were great. VERY accommodating. Took care of our family very well and were kind to us. My wife tries to avoid wheat and gluten and they were happy to care of her allergy. Hazel the cook - she is fantastic. Friendly, helpful and just a gem to be on the staff for Nahas. When I wanted to go to the store in San Juan - Mr. V Boy took me and that was really nice too. There are birds and lizards in large (separate) cages throughout the property and a couple large coy ponds with water features which add to the ambiance. The pool is nice and well maintained too. The ocean and beach at the resort are beautiful. Its not a white sand beach like in other places - more of a volcanic sand but still soft - NO rocks and you can walk out into the ocean probably half a mile before it gets deep. Look forward to return to Nahas in the future.

Mr. Nahas arranged our transportation and we did have a small challenge because a full sized car picked us up not a van which we needed with my family of 5. But we discussed with Mr. Nahas and it worked out. Again - the driver Rafi is very nice and helpful.

The beachfront and the rooms were decent.

Your page is not even enough to express how SORELY DISAPPOINTED we were from the day of arrival. I have booked this place to treat my Mom and family as I came from Canada and want my 86 year old Mom to get a fresh Seabreeze relax and bond with family. The Resort Management (they said the brother of the owner)dont have a clear understanding of how to treat guests and tend to be rude and insensitive to guests request and expectations..They have so much restrictions in the Resort which we find absurd and ridiculous to wit: No eating inside the rooms, no eating in the cabana, no eating in the hotel lobby which they dont even have a Check in Counter Desk. If my sister didn't complain they would be so condescending to us but only agree to our demands because we complained. What ever happened to the old adage saying that "Guest should feel conformable and feel welcomed or if there is anything we could do to make your stay comfortable to make your stay pleasant" is NIL , NOT EVIDENT, NONE. In short this Resort deserves a Negative rating. We feel sorry for the staff because they are biting the bullet and messenger of the Resort Manager telling us that you cannot do this or not allowed. What the hell!!! I felt embarrassed to my family that i should have chosen a resort whose facilites are comparable but Customer or Guests Service is way better or above par than Nahas. They were even rude to our driver who we treat as family but they treated inhuman not allowed to roam at the resort grounds or take a shower to think he already sleeps in our Van. We even didnt get a refill of bottled water in our rooms or toiletries are so hard to ask for refill. I feel like we have to beg to get it. They even want to charge entrance fee to our family who lives nearby the Resort just to bond with us for a few hours. Oh my God! I could go on and on and bottomline is we got stressed instead of Relaxed.

It's not really that we didn't like it, but something that may be improved on, which is the accessibility to cooked food. There was a menu from a catering service and the food was good, but the delivery fee was quite high and the minimum amount per delivery is 800 pesos. So if ordering, better to order for lunch and dinner then just heat up the food for dinner. Better yet, cook your own food (the kitchen is clean and accessible) or get the services of the recommended cook at 500 pesos per day.
