I have had a splendid time with Deni and Nora from Mando Homestay. They are the most warmly people you can wish for. Although not included I was served breakfast and some fruits every now and then, and Deni lended me his bicycle. Rooms were spacious, beds big and the matresses comfortable. Ask them to bring you in contact with Renol, a young student who speaks English very well, and likes to show you around. His knowledge of the environment is amazing, he knows even viewpoint and will take you there if you want to. One point of attention, Mando Homestay does not accept unmarried couples. So, bring some proof of marriage with you as a couple.

Delicious special home made Bukik Apik coffee from Bukittinggi. Location near central Bukittinggi Jam Gadang, Fort de Kock, Panorama Ngarai Sianok, Janjang Saribu, Panorama Baru. Lots to explore. Car or Motorcycle rental with guide provided on site. Tour to destination (Lake Maninjau, Lake Diatas Dibawah) can be arranged with the owner

Very nice family and nice homestay. You can refill your water. Bedroom is very clean. No hot water.
