Kubu Tako Homestay

Everything was clean, no mold, no bad smells 😀 Comfortable bed- important! I asked the owner if I could have an extral pillow to prop up my injured ankle & he brought me a bolster pillow which was perfect! 🙏 The owner and the cleaning lady both were great, incredibly kind, helpful, & fun - highly recommend!! I also loved having a movable desk so I could put it in front of window and have a nice view while on the laptop. Another huge plus for me: the lighting was phenomenal! It seems quite common in Bali to have really dim lighting (which I have difficulty with), but here the room was well lit with a bright overhead light and 2 dimmer bedside lamps. There's also a mini-kitchen in the room- fantastic! Only a 2min walk from beach access,, and a 2min walk from the most lovely book shop/ library with a great vibe where you can enjoy some tea, smoothies, coffee & baked goods, called Talking Leaves.

Zero complaints. The only recommendation I have is that it'd be great to have a full length mirror in the room (could even be on the inside of the wardrobe door if owner doesn't care for the aetheric) , but I know that's not exactly common here. The area is absolutely beautiful, but just a heads up for fellow travelers- if you're planning on walking everywhere- there isn't too much super nearby.

I stayed here 5 nights. The room was excellent especially considering the budget price. I can't believe how inexpensive it was considering its great location. The nearby streets are quiet with little traffic and it's only a pleasant 5 minute walk to the beach where there are plenty of cafes and beachside restaurants. I plan to return in a few weeks. I recommend.

there wasn't any room to lay around the pool...

Close to the beach and restaurants, off the road down a laneway meant no noise from the road. Nice place.
