The Distillers Den

Location very central to the town, shops, amenities etc. Beds were very comfy and kitchen well stocked. Wee tot of whisky was very much appreciated.

A little run down, the stairs up to the flat were pretty dirty and the flat in general was in need of refurbishment. But in fairness it was the end of the summer season.

Property was in a prime location,clean and well presented

Lovely clean flat. Had everything we needed. Great location in heart of Oban. The single malt complimentary whisky was a nice touch. Both double beds very comfortable. Flat nice and cosy. Only had to put heating on for about an hour one morning which is good for mid October. Would definitely rent again.

Had to park the car a wee bit away but that was well explained to us before we got there with direction about where to go. Stairs up to flat could be a wee bit tricky for someone older maybe.

Though my original comments below are still correct. ***I have had excellent communications from the owners. They have refunded me the room expense. They have taken full responsibility for the error and have changed their code protocols in an effort to ensure nothing like this happens again. I am greatly appreciative of the hosts desire to make this right as best they can I am completely satisfied with how they have handled the situation.*** Thank You, Distillers Den. ~GB _________________________________________________________________________ BE CAREFUL. There was horrible confusion upon arrival. I had booked the Distiller's Den. And we entered the Distiller's Den apt. because the neighbour, across the hall, knew the door code, "I let lots of people in..." - REALLY so I can look the the door but you can can still get in???!! HOWEVER, the host and the Bookings system sent me the details for a different location. Only to note that the message was to a different location. We then packed up the car and went to the second location. We got in and to our surprise there was already people in this location. Imagine the security breach as they gave me access to ANOTHER appt. already in use! Getting a hold of the host was not easy and took multiple phone calls over 2 hours. Only to find out that we were in the right place the first time - "human error" was we were sent the wrong details The 3 hours of wasted time that this confusion caused ruined our local tour. Complete mess up.

Lovely touches like whiskey etc, kitchen facilities great, bed comfortable.

Possibly needs a wee freshen up. Walls very dirty in places and windows very dirty. Bathroom sink drains very slowly.

Grubby fixtures and fittings, not properly decorated, grey, uninspiring decor. Very budget accommodation( but not price!!) Needs new mattresses Uncomfortable sofas Needs complete redecoration and some TLC. Expected good quality furnishings, and some thought into what guests might like to see or do locally.

The whisky was a lovely touch. Directions to the flat were extremely clear and helpful.

Check out by 11 would have been ideal. 10 was a bit rushed.

Great location. Very clean and well appointed. Great communication from owner.

Access stairs, no allocated parking. Bathroom and kitchen could do with some refurbishment.
