"Beautiful scenery, lovely people and peace and quiet in abundance sums it up"

10.0

What can we say we wanted to escape our busy lives and this was the perfect place to do so. Our hosts could not of been more welcoming or friendly and their dogs and all the farm animals made the trip for us. Perfect base for the beautiful coastline walks and Skomer Island is a must as is dinner at the fabulous Brook Inn the seabass is rather special we are already plotting our next escape there, we only came home yesterday.

Nothing at all, I think it is worth noting though for supplies it is a trek so go stocked up although the hosts provided tea coffee sugar and milk, so you can have a cuppa when you arrive :-)

"Fantastic little gem"

10.0

The shepherds hut was beautiful, very unique. We often stay away in things that are a little different so this ticked all our boxes. Lovely and clean inside. Beautiful location. Read other reviews before coming so knew to follow their directions and found it easy enough. Well signposted on the road too. Lovely clean toilet and shower facilities. The lady who came to meet us as we arrived was lovely, very friendly and ensured we had all we needed and even recommend somewhere to eat. If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely be back. Unsure what the negative reviews are about from others as we did not encounter any of the issues others have raised. Please make your own judgments and book to stay, you'll be pleasantly surprised. 😊

"A great weekend in a lovely part of Wales"

10.0

We found the location easily using the postcode, although a sign at the entrance to the farm would help. We were met by a very helpful and friendly lady who showed us to our caravans, and explained where the facilities are. The location is lovely, very quiet and great views. The caravans are well appointed and comfortable, and the kettle for a morning coffee very welcome. We had dinner in the local pub, which is a 15 minute walk. The pub (Brook Inn), was also very friendly and served great food. We didn't have an issue with the limited toilet facilities as we were the only people staying. The shower was nice and hot. The site are building a second toilet block which will be better for when more visitors are staying. Overall, the site is a little gem!

"Great location, quirky fun caravans, fantastic experience!"

8.0

We loved the setting, the caravans, the charm of the location. Fantastic views over the Meadows and the water, sheep included! The beds were good. It was also very nice and quiet, which we really appreciated.

The shower room flooded easily, and there was just one a little towel. The sanitary arrangement could have been cleaner. The caravans were very clean. Otherwise, we really have nothing to complain about, we had a wonderful experience!

"Beautiful place, would stay again"

10.0

Beautiful place, quiet and peaceful. The owner was very kind and even offered us a lift to our next destination since we were travelling on foot. We would love to stay again, from the view of the rising sun, the sheep, the goats, the lovely caravan, we liked everything. Complimentary tea and coffee, kettle and power outlets in the caravan. Shower and toilet completely fine. We didn't see aby dogs on the property although we could hear them barking on arrival. We had some trouble finding the property since the pin on booking.com sends you elsewhere. We were advised to ask in the pub, very helpful answer there. For anyone arriving you need to turn into Lindsway Road by the sports club and go until the end to Monkhill Farm (map among my photos).

"Consider it better than camping; don't compare with B&B/self catering etc!"

3.0

Good view. Kettle & mugs with tea etc. (No cooking.) Chairs/table OK. Bed comfortable.

Shepherds hut: poorly maintained (but water tight etc); no dark curtains (it was mid-summer!); very thin duvet; no heating; very grotty toilet/shower facility. No cooking facilities. No water on 2nd day!! The location on the map is wrong (just marks the middle of the village), Street name & grid reference would help.

Lovely shepherd's hut with beautiful views on a working farm. Very quiet, just 4 huts in a field, surrounding field had a few cows and sheep. Toilet block basic but clean and in full working order, it looks like a second block is being built.

It's not sign posted very well; go inside the farm and you'll see a sign.
