Excellent guesthouse in Bukhara. New. Clean. Kind owners. Good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Just a few minutes walk from the main spots of Bukhara, this cozy and full of charm hotel is located in the heart of the Silk Road. A young prosperous and very skilled Bukhariot family runs the place. Here one finds not only friendliness and good service but also lots of information as Shavkat and Zarina (the owners) have a many generations Bukhara background. The rooms are very confortable and nicely decorated by the owners in a very traditional style, one can feel as confortable as in a 5 star hotel and here one can also feel being in a “One Thousand and One night” place just like in the old tales. Shavkat speaks at least 4 languages: Uzbek, English, Russian and Tajik; and this makes things much easier. He’s the best host and experienced and responsible driver. Being so friendly and easygoing, he took me to different places making my trip much more exiting and allowing me not to waist time hiring several taxis, one can feel one hundred percent safe travelling with Shavkat. As far as food is concerned, here I enjoyed delicious handmade meals made by Zarina as she inherited many traditional recipes from her ancestors. Her table is nicely decorated at her local and very personal Bukhara style. All of this certainly adds a lot of value to their offer and quite frankly what you receive in exchange does largely exceeds the expectations. Last but not least, they have two adorable children: Azizbek and Yasmina, who from time to time you cross during your staying and you can hear them talking some words in Uzbek, some in English and some in Russian language. You can easily feel part of this family. The Central Asia Hotel is my favorite place in Bukhara and a place where I will absolutely go back. I highly recommend this hotel and will continue giving my comments during my future visits.

We really enjoyed our stay in Central Asia Hotel. The family is so helpful, friendly and kind! They make you feel at home. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The breakfast is good and the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood but close to the tourist spots. If we come back to Bukhara, we'll stay here again!

I can recommend this place to everyone. Room is remarkable and comfortable, nice bathroom. Owner is really helpful and caring. Great Wi-fi, breakfast, basically everything.

Room was comfortable and in excellent condition. All the major sights within walking distance.

If I was looking for a problem, I suppose it would be that there was some construction work going on within the property but this never bothered me: it didn’t affect my room and there was very little noise.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel and it far exceeded my expectations. In fact, I loved it so much that I ended up extending my stay! The host was absolutely amazing - I arrived late and she welcomed me with a night walk around the town. It felt like I was staying with a friend, not in a hotel. And the breakfasts were simply divine, with fresh fruits and vegetables every single day. My room was impeccable and looked like it belonged to the Emir of Bukhara himself! The decor was minimal yet extremely beautiful and tasteful, and the gentle sound of birds singing in the morning was the perfect way to wake up. I would have stayed even longer if the place wasn't already booked. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly exceptional experience!

Zarina is the loveliest host you can find in Bukhara. She runs the beautiful guesthouse Central Asia Hotel, which is only 10 min from Kalon square and Lyab-i-hauz so very centrally located to see all the attractions of Bukhara old town. The rooms were homely, well furnished, very clean and so cheerfully done up. The bathroom even had a hair dryer and a bathtub. The breakfasts were a delight. Zarina would prepare vegetarian meals for us on request (and my friend who eats meat also loved the food Zarina made for her) and they were freshly cooked just for us each morning. They came with dry fruits, homemade butter (that Zarina makes), lots of chai - fruit tea and green tea and black tea (and coffee if you like), cheese, salad and Uzbek bread. Her semolina porridge cooked in milk and sprinkled with raisins is incredible. In addition, Zarina is so helpful in booking taxis if needed, or providing any information you need about Bukhara. She also runs a salon if you want a haircut or eyebrow threading on the side! My friend arrived a night after us and Zarina prepared hot tea and nuts for her, completely free of charge, just like we would welcome a guest to our homes. Finally, I forgot my credit card at her hotel and she was so sweet to send it via a taxi driver all the way to my hotel in Samarkand, again free of charge. Zarina's two kids, nephew, grandmother all very lovely to chat with and play with. We really felt like we were at an Uzbek home, enjoying all their hospitality and getting a peek into their lives. Although we could not communicate much in English, we managed great because of Zarina's suggestion to use Google Translate. The morning that we left, Zarina brought a Bluetooth speaker into the breakfast room and we danced to Uzbek and Hindi music 🎵🎶 together to bid each other goodbye. We will have the warmest memories of our stay at Zarina's guesthouse.
