The apartment is clean and nice. A modern and new renovation with a traditional touch. Sleeping on a futon in a room with tatami was very comfortable. A special mention goes to the wonderful cast-iron bathtub with enameled edges. Using it was a real pleasure and, for a brief moment, it gave me the feeling of being in a real Japanese onsen. The apartment is in the quiet, residential area and very close to Kyoto station, so it’s convenient for getting to the city's main attractions

The bedroom windows are covered with shutters made of rice paper, and early in the morning, when the sun rises, the room becomes very bright. For people who are sensitive to light and are light sleepers, this could be a problem. It would be nice to have the option to cover the windows with something more if needed

The room was just right for 4 people. Two rooms separated by paper wall giving just enough privacy. Working washing machine with the detergent provided. Not far from the center if you like walking, we like the area.

It was very spacious accommodation for Japan with two large separate rooms, a large bathroom space (amazing water pressure), compact kitchen and small table and TV watching alcove. Comfy futons as far as futons go. Easy check in but very long steep stairs at the entrance that you have to be careful climbing. Within 10 minute walk to train stations.

Under very strict instructions to turn off and unplug all appliances and hot water etc after use. Threatening hundreds of dollar fines for any noise complaints etc. Not a big deal just quite strict compared to other accommodation we've stayed in.
