Moonlight Inn Kujo

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Moonlight Inn Kujo in Kyoto, staying in their convenient ground-floor apartment. This spacious unit boasts two traditional tatami bedrooms, making it perfect for up to four guests, and includes the added bonus of a bathtub and washing machine. The location couldn't have been better for exploring Kyoto! We were just a 7-minute stroll from the subway station and a pleasant 15-minute walk to the main railway station. Daily essentials were easy to grab with a supermarket and two convenience stores (Lawson and Family Mart) just around the corner. The apartment truly felt like a home away from home thanks to its thoughtful amenities. We especially appreciated the provided umbrellas for rainy days, a laundry rack, and even laundry detergent.

Just a heads-up that the apartment faces a main street, so you'll likely hear traffic noise during busy periods. We still managed to sleep well, though. Also, while fine for two, the kitchen's equipment could be enhanced to better accommodate more than two people.

The place should be more clean. We found hair on the beds from some previous guests.

They have this extra caution about noise, I believe it is something to do with sound isolation , so we were trying almost not to talk after 8-9. I heard someone knocking even when we just walked on the floor.. not too bothering, I would still stay there next time and I am the one enjoying exploring new places.. they should add few plates and glasses, we barely had enough for 4 people. Maybe some closet or hangers in bedroom, nowhere to hang clothes

Cool place, far bigger than expected, perfect for 4 people .. there is an extra living room with a table

Lovely property and conveniently located within easy walking distance of Kyoto station. Bus and metro routes nearby. Plenty of space in the property for sleeping.

There are two apartments at the property and we stayed in both at different times during our trip. The upstairs apartment is less well laid out and does not have a washing machine. Limited suply of plates, cutlery etc.
