.Staff were welcoming and polite .Bissap juice was excellent!

.Bed sheets old, stained and rough to touch, not plaisant to sleep on and very short (they do not go all the way down to the bottom. Blanket on bed was dated, stains on pillow cases and pillows absolutely not comfortable, lumpy all the way .Shower head leaking which takes longer to shower and no pressure. Shower curtain too small, therefore water is going everywhere. Strong smell of the in the bathroom and very stuffy. All in all, very outdated. .Breakfast spread very poor, not enough choices. They serve cheese stored in a fridge that’s not working, hence it’s melting and not safe for consumption. 2 types of cereals. Tea selection is obsolete, only oolong. Coffee is powdered and in a sachet. Eggs are cooked in advance and even if you asked for a certain type, it’s not cooked properly the way it should. My brother asked the cook for soft boiled eggs, which he said he can cook but handed up with an uncooked egg with no egg cup to support! Not great quality of products for breakfast. We had to ask and wait to get cups and plates as no one available to top up. .Maintenance was poor, door was blocked, unable to unlock as too old and not fix in a good time frame. Overall very disappointed as not value for money. £600 for 2 nights is not worth it. I do not recommend. It’s worth zero stars but it’s not possible to do that, I insist this star is for STAFF ONLY, not nothing more!

I really enjoyed my stay here - the hotel is like an oasis of calm in Bissau. Staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful - special thanks to Mariama who very kindly went above and beyond her duties to accompany me to the market so I wasn't alone. Good buffet breakfast, clean swimming pool, lovely gardens, spacious rooms. I felt very safe here as a solo female too.

There was nothing I didn't like.
