USAmazing location. Truly wonderful to be able to hike right from the Lodge, though if you do not like or cannot do stairs, you will have to drive to parking at the base of the park.
One of the staff people there misrepresented fees for my stay, including telling me there was a $25 charge per day for incidentals (that would have been total $100), when actually I was charged $250. That same person also quoted me a rate for additional days that was completely incorrect and I was charged significantly more per night for the additional days I stayed. Quoting correct fees to consumers is important!

Our room had cobwebs. Behind the headboard as well as underneath tables, on the ceiling, etc. Needs a good dusting and deep cleaning.
HUUSDining room, staff and facilities was great. Loved the pool, hot tub and sauna. The park is gorgeous and parking is convenient.
The room was way to small for two beds. If you sat in a chair, you had to move if the other person wanted to walk by. The bathroom was a joke it was so small. My son ended up going to the locker room by the pool to use the bathroom as he couldn't fit between the wall and the sink when using the toilet. The air conditioner did not work. Called maintenance and they made it blow air, but it was not cool air.

GBAn amazing hidden jem in the middle of a state park. Ideal to explore the area, relaxing in an old Midwest wooden place, full of character. Very nice swimming pool! Very good restaurant, with both dinner and breakfast being delicious and plentiful. Quiet comfortable beds, with good mattresses and pillows.

very tiny rooms--we needed to get a second one. The food was home made but basic-would appreciate more specialized cuisine.
