A bit understaffed
USThe food was amazing. The vegetable soup and chicken piccata were amazing. I love that I can walk to the hiking trails of the state park. It’s my favorite place to hike in IL.

USThe 1930's seating needs to be enhanced. It is the most uncomfortable I have seen. It may be enough of an issue to prevent future visits. Beatiful location. Seating is terrible in main hall.

USOur stay was enjoyable. The only ate breakfast at the restaurant, which was good. The hot tub and sauna were nice.
The room was sufficient, but felt a little cramped and the bathroom was really small. We realize this is in the older part of the lodge, but I am not sure I realized this when I booked.
USUSWe love everything about staying at Starved Rock. As soon as we walked in the door, we relaxed and it felt like such a comfortable and relaxing place. We enjoyed all our meals and the Lodge Restaurant. Our room was clean and very comfortable
