Luxury Guest House

Ce n'est certainement pas luxueux mais c'est un bon rapport qualité prix pour Londres. Une chambre double très petite côté rue mais bien aménagée avec grande télé, fauteuil, porte manteau et cintres. Les bus sont à moins de 10mn de marche et le quartier est résidentiel, tranquille et safe. La grande salle de bain est bien aménagée avec des produits de douche à disposition, la cuisine est bien équipée aussi même si je ne m'en suis pas servie. L'hôte ne s'est pas montré mais est très réactif par message s'il y a besoin de quelque chose. Il y a des serviettes de toilette fournies. Les parties communes sont globalement propres. En tant que femme seule je me suis sentie en sécurité.

Le lieu n'est pas du tout insonorisé et on entend ce qui se passe tout autour, penser à des boules quiès si vous êtes sensible au bruit. On entend aussi les trains passer mais ça ne me dérangeait pas. Les draps dans la chambre ne sentaient pas la lessive et je n'étais pas sûre qu'ils aient été lavés même s'ils avaient l'air propres. Sinon j'ai payé pour une chambre avec un lit King Size et un canapé (image fournie au moment de la résa) ; j'ai eu un lit queen size et pas de canapé. Le propriétaire n'a rien voulu admettre d'anormal ou d'incorrect quand je lui ai fait remarquer. Un simple pardon aurait suffi.

I had a great stay at Luxury Guest House. I was able to drop my bag off as I arrived around 10am, however the room was good to go so I was allowed to check in early which helped out a lot. There weren't any other guests when I was staying there so I had a very comfortable stay. The bathroom is large with a his/hers sink setup and a large shower and bath. The kitchen was big too and had plenty of space to cook and eat.

The kitchen didn't have any sharp knives, I ended up using a butter knife to cut up all of my vegetables. This wasn't a deal breaker and I definitely made do but it'd be worth getting some chefs knives, even if they aren't the best it'd be good to have a proper knife to cut up food.

Where to start... So many things that I had to cut my stay short as couldn't face being there anymore . Gave me the wrong code/keybox so couldn't get in immediately on first day . Awful smell throughout the building of mothballs. So strong that made me physically ill . Busy train tracks so close that it was not only the noise keeping me awake but also the vibration completely shaking the bed every time a train passed Not ever to return!!

Nice guest room for a good price in London. With shared.kitchen and bathroom.

I could hear the near trains from the railway especially when staying in the kitchen. In my room near the street, which is further away from the railway I did not hear the trains at night.

Alfred is a superb host. Very accommodating and reacts very quickly to requests or questions.

Train nearby was noisy.

the bed was comfortable, not much else was enjoyable to be honest.

you can hear the other guests snoring, walking around upstairs making lots of noise, you can also hear loud trains passing often so trying to sleep becomes a problem.

I liked that it was very clean for the most part. I also liked that it was a reasonable price for the room.

I didn't like the loud noise of the trains going by right outside the window of my room and I didn't like that I had no idea who else was in the house at any given time... perhaps the manager/owner could give other guests a heads up if any guests would be arriving late at night or not. At one point I was trying to sleep, and someone came into the house very loudly at 10 or 11 pm and then in the morning I noticed the main door had been left open, meaning anyone could have entered the house from the outside during the night. I also did not like that there was no laundry detergent, although there was a washing machine.
