Sotto il Campanile

Excellent location to stay in the old town of Monopoli. The apartment is small but very functional, with very efficient air con, comfortable bed and nicely done bathroom. Windows have shutters and mosquito netting, which is a nice touch. It has a nice authentic feel to it and is in one of the charming little quiet side streets. We were initially disappointed to find that the balcony isn’t actually usable, but the weather was so hot during our stay that we really wouldn’t have ended up spending any time on it in the day (the owner was nice enough to let us know we could use the roof terrace on the day the other apartment wasn’t reserved, but it was too hot stay up there for long!). The owner is very responsive and flexible- we checked in a little early and could have checked out a bit late - so we felt very well looked after. Other reviews have mentioned the steep stone staircase, which it is fair to note - we managed fine with our carry-on size suitcases, but it would be a serious challenge to get a large, heavy case up there. Parking near the old town is also a challenge, so we stopped bothering to attempt to find a space locally - we just parked in the free car park by the port, which is a 15 minute walk away and worked absolutely fine for us.

Emplacement parfait dans le cœur de la vieille vile de Monopoli. A 20 min de marche de la gare ferroviaire. Toutes commodités à proximité. L'appartement était d'une propreté irréprochable, très lumineux et bien climatisé. Cosimo le manager était très disponible et a répondu à toutes nos sollicitations.

Attention, Sotto il campanile comporte 2 appartements, un avec terrasse sur le toit, et un autre annoncé "avec balcon avec vue sur la ville". C'est dans ce denier que nous avons résidé. En fait le balcon est très petit, impossible de s'y installer. Il n'y a pas de réelle vue sur la ville contrairement à ce qui est annoncé, mais sur le mur d'en face. Il n'y a pas non plus de living room, mais un tout petit espace repas face à la kitchenette. L'équipement de la kitchenette est vraiment limité, faute de place. Nous avons pu visiter la terrasse grâce au manager de l'appartement. La vue y est vraiment splendide. Donc ne vous trompez pas d'appartement si vous souhaitez profiter de la terrasse !

Excellent location – the Old Town, restaurants, and cafés are just steps away. The apartment is clean and charming, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host is incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended :)

Cosimo è stato davvero gentilissimo, sempre disponibile e pronto ad aiutarci. Il nostro aereo è atterrato in ritardo e Cosimo ci ha aspettati fino a tardi. Noi siamo stati nell’appartamento che in foto si riconosce dalle bellissime mattonelle sul pavimento, senza terrazza. Pulitissimo! e davvero ben attrezzato. A noi è piaciuto molto perché cercavamo un posto tipico in centro storico. Le scale ripide all’ingresso ed il piccolo spazio non sono un problema per noi, anzi quasi un pregio di autenticità. Zanzariere molto comode sulle finestre, acqua e caffè di benvenuto! L’appartamento è nel cuore della città. Ci siamo innamorati di Monopoli. Torneremo volentieri!

Ci è piaciuto tutto

Appartamento piccolo e caratteristico nel pieno del centro storico. Molto carino, pulito e completo (pure con la graditissima macchina del caffè). Cosimo, l’host, molto cordiale e disponibile per qualunque cosa, davvero una persona squisita. Parcheggio a poca distanza trovato tutti i giorni sia diurno che notturno su strisce bianche. A due passi da spiagge belle, centro e ristoranti vari

A great journey in Monopoli. We enjoy the terrace with reclining chairs, a garden salon with a parasol. The view is nice on the roofs of this seaside resort. The apartment is comfortable, well-decorated and located. The street is quiet. Our host is kind and helpful, thanks to you. We hope to come back again...

the place is in an amazing location, just a short walk to the historic part of town as well as the beach. it is located on a quieter street, but still very close to the center, which for us was ideal. it was the perfect size for two people with all the amenities you might need, while also having a unique and beautiful interior. the host was extremely helpful and provided answers to any questions we had (not only about the property), and made sure we were comfortable at all times, checking in to see if we needed anything. because of an early flight we were also able to check in earlier without any issues, which was great!

the stairs inside the building can be problematic to some (but for us they only added to the experience!)

Great location, small but cozy, Cosimo super helpful and always fast to answer. Right in the heart of Monopoli and walking distance to the beach.
