Crsytal Chateau Room Rental

The lady who owns the house was nice, it is close to public transportation.

Despite indicating my arrival time weeks beforehand, I had to wait over an hour for the owner to arrive and let me in my room. It was incredibly hot in the whole house, the AC did not do much besides loud noise, the bed was covered in plastic sheets, it was dirty and there were several power outlets that seemed like a safety hazard, the locks did not seem to be working well, I did not feel safe. I do not understand where the good reviews are coming from!

Clean. Location far from Manhattan

Mattress very hard and had a heavy plastic cover which made it sweaty, uncomfortable. Also very squeaky n it deeped to the middle. Worst mattress experience Pillows very high/hard, had a plastic as well. We got hardly any sleep.

Comfortable, self catering at a reasonable cost for the NY area. Host very nice and helpful.

That it was old and had so much character.  Super nice and helpful owner.

The woman sits infront of her camera on the first night two friends came to pick us up I open the door because I was still dressing so I went back in the came to the door she was rude and loud saying the rules is no guess and at this hour really no guest but collect payment to run people live I didn't appreciate that next morning we had to go find another place my boyfriend leave his bag there but never sleep there again next day he went to get his bag the woman accusing him of damaging her floor he ask how I did that she say with your luggage he ask how a carry-on bag can damage your floor I will never recommend that place to nobody she is miserable and nosey she need to put her rule on the sight so people can know upfront If the need to pay for some rules no one was coming to sit a chatt the was just picking taking us out with that behavior she will not get customers
