The Bothy

Great little hideaway for the weekend, me and my boyfriend just wanted a few quiet days away to forget about life's stresses and The Bothy certainly helped us do just that! The place is rustic and charming but with all the modern comforts you'd need (full kitchen, big warm shower, underfloor heating!! (this was my favourite), hot tub outside etc.) Geoff and Julie were so welcoming when we arrived, giving us the history of the The Bothy and their property and gave us lots of information on walks and nice places to visit whilst we were there. Another bonus is the sheep come right up to the door so it was fun to get to see them so up close!

Nothing comes to mind initially, Geoff and Julie asked us for any improvements they thought we might like when we left, showing how attentive they are as hosts. The only thing me and my boyfriend thought of after the fact was possibly an awning for the hot tub as it rained a lot when we were there but that's all we could think of!

It was perfect. It had everything we needed and more . The view was stunning especially from the hot tub . Which was clean and so relaxing.

The property is so beautiful and such good value for money. The hot tub has a sea view and the overall scenery is just gorgeous. The hosts are so friendly and happy to offer any advice on the area. Was a perfect stay.

I needed a peaceful, quiet, chilled-out couple of days away from it all and this place ticked all the boxes. It was absolutely lovely and immaculately clean with all the facilities you would possibly need. It's quite compact but very warm and cosy. Totally private (discounting the curious cows in the next field). Geoff and Julie were the perfect hosts who greeted me on arrival and showed me around and gave me plenty of useful information about the local area. They left me to it but I knew how to contact them if needed though I didn't because everything was just perfect. It is ideally located for exploring North Wales, Anglesey, the Llyn Peninsula, Snowdonia etc. Nearest beach is a 5 mins drive up the road. Two major supermarkets a 10 mins drive away in Caernarfon. The views are fantastic and in the evening I watched the sun go down over the sea from the hot tub (Tip- take a warm dressing gown/robe as it can be rather cold getting out and going back indoors ) which was amazing. I really didn't want to leave. Totally recommend.

Lovely stay, very friendly hosts who met us on arrival and gave interesting information on the land and recommendations around the local area. Great location - we visited 4 castles, Portmeirion and Aber Falls. The Bothy was very well appointed, clean, modern and cosy with underfloor heating. We enjoyed the hot tub most evenings with a view of the sea and the little lambs right by us. Highly recommended for a peaceful countryside trip 😊

Just a small suggestion, an extra set of towels could be useful when using the hot tub with showering before and after and some oil for the kitchen.
