BiVOUAC CÔTE-IRIKI

Als je een nacht wil verblijven in de woestijn op een niet toeristische locatie, dan is dit de ideale plek. Het kleine kampje ligt prachtig tussen de duinen en de kuddes dromedarissen komen vlak langs. Anders dan in Merzouga zit je hier in totale afzondering wat veel authentieker aandoet. Mokthar en zijn broer doen werkelijk alles om het je naar de zin te maken en je geweldige tijd te laten hebben. Ontvangst met thee en lekkernijen, een ritje op de dromedaris, een heerlijke maaltijd, een matras buiten om naar de sterren te kijken, een comfortabele tent met lekkere bedden, geen moeite was te veel. We hebben leuke gesprekken gevoerd. Ook de communicatie vooraf was snel en duidelijk. Mokthar regelde de chauffeur die ons van en naar Foum Zguid reed (4x4, noodzakelijk in de woestijn) en ook die rit was bijzonder omdat we de woestijn in al haar verschijningsvormen meemaakten. Het was er zo mooi en leeg. Al met al een geweldige ervaring. We gunnen Mokthar veel gasten, want hij werkt er heel hard voor en bezorgt je een onvergetelijke tijd.

El vivac está increíblemente bonito. Me alojé allí una noche haciendo una ruta alrededor de marruecos en moto. Mokhtar es una persona maravillosa, atento, te ayuda en lo que sea. Si tienes pensado alojarte en el desierto de Iriki esta es la mejor opción. El desayuno es muy variado, y con lo buen cocinero que es Mokhtar no te defraudará.

Le lieu et l’experience hors du commun… Un hote au top, qui nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de sympathie. Nous avons meme eu le droit a un repas au coin du feu et sous les etoiles, qui s’est terminé par une soiree en chansons berberes…

Sleeping under the stars was amazing. Mokhtar was a generous guide.

Mokhtar s'est montré très disponible et attentionné. De nombreux appels pour nous rassurer par rapport à la chaleur (en plein mois d'août). Le transport en 4x4 climatisé pour accéder au campement est un vrai voyage !!! Des paysages à couper le souffle. La promenade en dromadaire, vraiment sympa 👍🏿. Le repas du soir, très goûteux avec sa soupe, son tajine et son dessert en plein milieu du désert... Et de l'eau toujours fraîche. Le petit déj, nickel ! Surtout l'omelette berbère. La nuit a été une petite aventure que nous n'oublierons jamais 🥵✊🤙👌. Juste le temps de finir de manger qu'une tempête de sable s'est déclenchée, d'un coup. Pour autant, nous avons passé un moment inoubliable. Mokhtar a très bien géré la situation et nous avons passé une nuit incroyable. Merci pour ce partage 🙏

Thank you for everything we could experience in the desert. Our family with three children will remember it for a long time. The perfect service started long before our arrival. The owner asked us in advance about our needs, transportation, food, camel ride. And everything turned out better than we could have wished for. Transportation: We expected an hour-long direct journey to the campsite. In the end, it was an incredible three-hour journey, when we stopped at a well in the oasis, at the nomads', where we could buy their products. The highlight was an iguana that ran across our path and the nimble driver stopped and caught it so we could pet it. The driver was a great professional and very helpful and pleasant. Food: first the best harira, then a huge pot full of tagine and finally fruit for dessert. And breakfast? Delicious eggs. Camel ride: We also booked a camel ride. it was well timed, at sunset. The guys who accompanied us were pleasant. Overnight stay: even though we visited the camp in February and it was cold at night, the tent equipment was sufficient, several blankets, we really didn't feel cold. Of course we got up for the sunset, which was beautiful. Other: the possibility of snowboarding and other activities are a matter of course. To sum it up, we give 11 stars out of ten :-)

The location of the bivouac is very beautiful and quiet. We had a very delicious tagine meal. It was a wonderful experience and I want to come back again.

All was perfect!

We were picked up from a very experienced driver who knew the roads very well. The ride was incredible. We ate at one of the organisers family's home who put together a very warm cous cous. We then were toured around the nature and ruins of the deserts including fallen down settlements and lakes. The night in the desert was incredible, with excellent food and comfy beds. And they choose a quieter place than other organisations so you really do feel the quiet desert. They were very friendly and treated us as if we were part of their family. They were very funny hosts. Similarly, the total experience was very affordable and made us save lots on this trip. Thank you to all involved. Crimo
