It was nice and quiet

Pine bed and uncomfortable mattress

Peaceful location.

Depressing decor, could do with updating. Shower ran hot/cold. TV not working. No privacy in kitchen when staff in adjoining laundry room, could hear all conversations. Some areas needed more cleaning. Another guest walked into our room by mistake, as they had misread the instructions for their stay!

Great value nice location will stay again

A mirror in the bedroom would be handy as there is only a mirror in the bathroom which makes styling your hair awkward

Location. Price was ok too

Sound insulation a bit poor. We heard the people above us and felt sorry for them as we had a v early start but tried our best to be quiet. Big security light outside may also have bothered them when we left.

Lovely scenery, a good location for seeing the sights. Accommodation was very clean, comfortable and warm. Great value for money.

While it is away from the pubs (walk about 20-30mins). The room has everything you would need to make you breakfast. Also very dog friendly

I had an upstairs twin room. The bed was firm-ish, but comfortable and I enjoyed 4 nights of good sleep. The chairs were stylish and comfortable. TV and wi-fi much appreciated. The kitchenette was reasonable with all that a couple would need in terms of cutlery, plates etc. The microwave and fridge both essential items and worked well. There was an adequate supply of hot water and instructions for the shower were clear. The rooms were clean, the beds well made with spare pillows. Excellent local facilities, shops, coffee shop, pubs, cafe and antiques/memorabilia, plus the harbour for crabbing make Walberswick a lovely, characterful place to visit and stay. The person who looks after the house came to my rescue when I locked myself out of my room!

The floor grouting in the large bathroom needs redoing at sometime. I found the stairway steepish and noisy, could do with a carpet, as could the bedroom/seating area. For those less mobile a second hand rail opposite the existing one would be an asset. These a practical thoughts on lifting the quality. In due course the exterior will need repainting

The lodge is a no fuss accommodation which has everything you need for a short stay. Only thing that might be improved is a kitchen sink. Location a stones throw from Walberswick and a great location for cycling which was the reason for booking the stay. Had a great time. Thanks

If all you want is a bed to rest your head then this is perfect. A bit of a walk to walberswick but i guess visitors will be there for the walking.

It's a shame the basic breakfast has stopped as now you have to provide your own except tea/ coffee
