Lovely cottage in a great location for town centre and river walks very clean and cozy

Steep stairs but wouldn’t stop me returning

Lovely little house easy to find and warm and cosy with plenty of space for our family of four. Just what we needed for our one night stop over.

The only thing that concerned me was the top of the stairs. I was worried one of the kids was going to fall if they got up in the night as it has the tiniest walkway and would be so easy to lose your footing and go down the very steep stairs. Maybe not suitable for a family with young children unless some kind of stair gate could be provided.

The stairs are not suitable for older people from bedroom to bathroom could cause you to fall

Living room was nice and cosy.

Wifi non good. Top of stairs a deathtrap with very little landing.

Good size cottage. Lovely village

Lack of cleanliness around the place. Place had a slight foul smell especially upstairs. Kitchen was far from clean. Kettle was so disgusting we didn't even want to use it. One dirty sponge left by the sink. Even plates and pans in cupboards were dirty and had to wash them. Also not enough good size pans. Just small metal pans. Not enough if your wanting to cook a decent meal. Also the big shower head seemed to be having problems. Wouldn't allow hot water through at first. Mattress was very hard in double room. Not as inviting and soft as we had hoped.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped

The narrow landing at the top of the stairs is real hazard, for anyone, but especially for elderly people or young children.We cannot imagine how it could possibly meet health and safety standards. We sincerely believe that the appropriate authorities should carry out an early inspection. We note that the current licence expires in April 2026.

Perfect location and everything you needed in the cottage for the stay

Great location. Everything you could need was in the cottage. Shower was excellent. Really useful pre arrival email from the host.

Bedrooms are in the roof space with a small area between the bedroom, top of stairs and bathroom which is a bit precarious during the night.
