Beautiful Spacious Ground Floor Newington flat

Nice clean spacious flat. Decent location for us - we didn't need to be right in the city centre. Probably around a 20 min walk to Princes Street. Close to local shops and not far from Arthur's Seat.

No curtains in the front room and back bedroom. Front room has shutters, which is fine at night, but some nets or something would be nice as the front room window is right onto the street and passers-by tend to look in. Shower rail very wobbly. Worried we were going to break it. No latch key as front door latch broken. No tea towels were provided. We arranged a late checkout (11:00 am instead of 10:00 am). However the cleaner showed up at 10:00 and was a bit stroppy as no-one had told her. She also complained that one set of keys should be left in the key safe for cleaners and only use one as guests. As far as I'm aware no-one told us this. The information in the booklet about keys should be removed/updated. It said to leave one set on the table and post the other set through the front door However an email then told us to put the keys back in the key safe.

It was comfortable and cosy,which was needed as it was a very cold weekend. The flat was a lovely place to come home to.

We had an issue with the lock on the front door, but everything that could be done, was done quickly.
