Exclusive Self-contained flat in Middlesbrough

The room was adequate for my needs, an emergency stay to support family. Having a kitchen area was a great benefit

The smell of the room on arrival, I’m not sure if it was from stagnant water in the shower trap. There was black mould Along the shower seal ( a lot came off when I bleached it with an old toothbrush), the black mould down the side of the window. Soft mattress and stained sealant around the hob ( this also was a bit better after bleaching). Stained pillowcase (old oily stains that had not washed out)

Host treatment, and attitude towards me

Location was great for us. Room was nice Spacious Polite staff and friendly. The room did its job as we only slept in room we were out and about for the night and morning. Loved the 12noon checking out time if needed.

There was uneven times on the bathroom floor, A weird smell when you walked to apartment and some of our sockets were cracked.

Good location for my visit for a 'boro' football game (20 mins walk). Parking was included in the price, so a bonus. Room basic, adequate for my needs (private toilet/shower, tv) and cheaper to alternatives! The owner met me quickly at the property as arranged, and reminded me to lock the outside door after I entered and when I went out. I was initially worried about its 'central location' but all was well.

Noisy door locks when neighbours were entering rooms on same floor. Neighbours music playing late into the night was audible. The outer door was unlocked when I left at 7am next morning. The owner had asked me to leave the key on the room table when I left. But doing so meant I could not possibly lock the outer door when I left! - This exit procedure should be reviewed.

Location to the university was excellent

Needs a lot of improvements, damp, cold, dirty. Luckily I only needed 1 night but wouldn't stay again

Met some nice people who stayed there, value for money it’s not child friendly though
