Under The Castle Apartments Ljubljana

This is a quirky little apartment in an historic location. It is, as the name says, right under the castle in the centre of the tourist district. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking at home and the nearby square has a fruit and vegetable market that operates everyday except Sunday. It is cosy in cold weather and reasonably quiet. It is nice to have a big bath, although it takes a long time to fill and you have to wait for the water tank to reheat. The shower has really good water pressure.

No parking for the car.

This Under the Castle Apartment was one of the most unique accommodations that I have ever stayed in. We literally stayed at the foundation of the castle. The apartment was spacious and comfortable as well as decorated like no other rental that I have ever stayed at. Marko, the owner, was very helpful as well.

The location was excellent and the communication from the host was great. It was very spacious and had everything that we needed. The host was very kind and even allowed a later checkout which fit perfect for our travel plans. Having laundry available to use was greatly appreciated so we had clean clothes to move to our next location. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I loved everything about the property! It was perfectly located in the middle of old town Ljubljana, had an incredibly authentic and historic charm to it which made me feel like i was living in a real Slovenian castle, had some incredible included amenities such as a hammock and hot tub, and the hosts were beyond accommodating and helpful! I couldn't recommend this place more!

Great location, right at the foot of the funicular and close to the Central Market.

The bathroom doesn’t get any fresh air and has a stale smell. The window blinds do a poor job of blocking out the street lights.
