Comfortable bed with clean sheets and clean pillowcases; Overall cleanliness of the room; Hot shower with good water flow; Great response rate of the host on Booking.com app as well as on Whatsapp; Friendly pets once they 'approve' you; Quiet room, thankfully away from the next door retro bar; Met some lovely humans from Canada and Germany who made great company for casual chats.

Toilets not very clean; the compound could use maintenance, trimming, fresh landscaping etc; more airing of the rooms, I had to open the windows for a while to let in fresh air; it would be helpful to have reading lights; the reception by the gateman was very cold. I suspect racism but can't confirm for sure. I did confront him, he seemed apologetic and gave me an excuse for his standoffish reception in that he was on a call when I arrived. Being the first point of contact, this was very off putting and I would encourage a positive change.

The location was perfect, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.
