Mad Vervet Nairobi Backpackers Hostel

The location was good, but is not a walkable street really. The staff was friendly. The photos look good, but are misleading.

The noise from the bar next door, Bamba, was very heavy on the bass. The bathroom was not clean at all! The window was open when I arrived and full o bugs, and even the mosquito net was not enough. I understood that I had a private bathroom but it was shared, and even though the other room was not with people, it was really a dirty. I had to leave for the second night to get some rest.

The place had a really cool communal area and good Wi-Fi in the communal area I met some really cool people there

One of the best hostels I've been to. Comfortable beds (three quarter bunk beds!). Nice and clean bathrooms and kitchen. Super large garden space. Very friendly staff and guests :)

The kitchen could be better equipped

Wunderschöne grüne Oase im lauten, geschäftligen Nairobi. Einladendes Haus mit Eingansbereich, Garten und Küche, herrliche Dusche im Gemeinschaftsbadezimmer.

Unser Schlafzimmer war separat im hinteren Teil des Gartens gelegen, leider etwas vernachlässigt ohne funktionierende Dusche und etwas schmuddelig. Die Badezimmer im Haus sind allerdings tip-top. Die Küche wäre eigentlich supertoll, aber rudimentär, und Besteck haben wir keines gefunden. Das Personal war freundlich, aber nach dem Check-in haben wir niemanden mehr gesehen. Dafür die Hunde, wovon einer nicht für eine Gaststätte geeignet ist... Ich hoffe sehr, dass das Backpackers weiterlebt!

The place is really nice with a lot of open space around, with beautiful gardens, perfect for yoga, sports etc. The kitchen and the common spaces are really nice and perfect for connecting with more travellers. Also, the owner Dan is a very cooperative and supporting guy.
