Oxford University Centre Lovely House

Amazing location with good parking and nice kitchen en living room. Everything was very clean. There were two big bedrooms with small beds (<160cm wide) but we knew this upfront. Very friendly and flexible owner.

Due to the wooden ceiling and thin walls, the first floor was very poorly soundproofed. Noise from the bathroom carried into the bedrooms, and the two rooms as well as the hallway were also quite noisy.

No iron or ironing board

The location is perfect. You cross the street and you're in the centre while still enjoying a 'suburb feel' surrounded by greenery. The shower is great, the rooms are a decent size, the kitchen is properly equipped even with glasses, flutes coffee machine. Host even made sure we had everything to make tea and coffee as well as cereal with milk and a few snacks too. Was also generous with clean towels.

The door wasn't locking properly but I'm sure it's something that will be taken care of immediately. Parking is situated perfectly in front of the house but needs to be booked beforehand. Just make sure it is booked for your stay. An ironing board would be amazing.

Nice location: 10-minute walk to railway station, opposite to John Lewis market hall and city center just crossing the market. Very helpful Chinese landlord, gave us one bottle of wine as gift. Allow us to keep luggage longer with flexible check in and out time. The oven and microwave are very good, gas cooker is easier to control the temperature. The TV is really good without extra paying - we watched la ratatouille together! We used the kitchen to cook and it’s really nice - later equipping with a soup spoon would be better. The property is nice and safe with tree view, can’t lock the garden so need to lock the door properly. It’s a decent place for family to live.

We are good here, the washing towel should have a longer one.

Proximity to the centre of Oxford, the car parking space, the bottle of wine upon arrival; a nice gesture.

Couldn't shut the skylight window in the bathroom. Needs a mirror in at least one of the bedrooms. A clothes rail and/or a small chest of drawers in second bedroom would be useful. Better instructions on how to use the two parking permits. The neighbour's untidy gardens! Clearly not the host's fault but not the best of views when looking out of bedroom windows.

Location is good. Host sent us the check-in instruction a day before. The carpark is a bit difficult to find. Although we check out on that day, the host still allow us to park the car till 3pm.

The outlook was dreadful. The gardens were overgrown and next door's garden was a health hazard, The accommodation is next to a busy road. The downstairs toilet was locked

No mirrors in bedrooms especially 3 females getting ready to go out 😩
