Milford Central Budget friendly rooms

Great value for money, very clean. Smooth check-in process. Excellent location for shops and busses. Within walking distance of the beach.

Walls were a little thin.

All a bit tired and dated

It served us well for a quick overnight stop having landed by plane in Auckland that evening. Basic facilities and shared bathroom/ kitchen. Clean, plus good bed and good WiFi.

Instructions as to how to find the location. We had no WiFi while in transit and had some difficulty - so some directions and a map would be useful.

Excellent location easy walk to shops/cafes and restaurants. Lovely safe swimming beach, marina and also walk to Lake Pupuke is close and highly recommend.. Calm and peaceful area. I did not meet host or staff but I could always see a high standard of care and cleanliness. Excellent shared kitchen facilities and toilets and bathroom were also kept very clean. Very well furnished shared kitchen facilities good layout. Very good off road parking arrangement with clear instructions and host responded promptly to messages.

Hmm.. the outside lock, is not easy to open. The door lock is hard to open and spent 5 min to open it. The shared kitchen is smelly (fishy smells). The furniture and inside are old and untidy. The room is ok for the size, but not comfy.. because it is not for couple who wants to enjoy their time, everyone outside the room can hear them. Also, you can hear anyone in the kitchen or fixing the laundry. The windows can’t be closed because it’s old and rusty. The bedding is old and I believe the bed sheets and the blankets are 10 years old. The bathroom is not smelly. The fan has no power point to plug in, we used the bathroom socket.
