Clean and comfortable cottage

The agent who manages the property are not good. Contacted a few hours before arrival to pay a £200 damage deposit. Would not release keys untill proof of payment received. When you are walking with no phone reception its not easy. Then i had an awful job trying to get the deposit back. Parking at the cottage is an issue. Only one permit. So if you have 2 cars its very hard to find any parking. The stairs in the property are fine if you are a mountain goat.

Do not be fooled by this charming looking property, i booked to stay, paid the amount in full on a non refundable rate, and then paid the additional security deposit of £200 which says it will be automatically refunded after vacating, however 4 weeks on i am still waiting for my refund. I have sent repeated messages requesting the refund and repeatedly fobbed off being told that it the deposits are dealt with by the 'co host' and this was being chased with no avail, and now I am being ghosted. So, on top of paying the cost to stay at the property, I have lost an additional £200. This host does not comply with they're own rules and disclaimers and is defrauding innocent people out of more money for their own gain. Absolutely disgusting!! Do not book this place unless you want to be conned out of an additional £200.

The property is nice

The host takes a deposit and then doesn’t repay it in spite of the property being left in perfect condition. I have chased several times and they have said they will pay but don’t.

This was a wonderful holiday home, with everything you could need: a spacious living room with a television and a large couch and fireplace (as well as plenty of books to read), a fully-stocked kitchen with a dishwasher as well as a washing machine and dryer, and a very modern, well-equipped bathroom with a bathtub shower and a hairdryer. There was even a nice, cozy little garden at the back with a table and chairs. There was a parking permit provided that allowed us to park right in front of the door. The bed in the master bedroom was king-sized, plush, and super comfortable. The home was in a nice neighborhood and only a five-minute walk into town.

The stairs leading up to the bedrooms were very steep, which could be a problem for people with walking difficulties.

The location was fabulous and it was just the right size for what we needed for a short stay. Would love to stay again

The only down side we found was trying to access the property. The communication was difficult and it took me over an hour of back and forth to actually access the property communicating with property company who were slow and not overly helpful.

Place was clean, good location.

Only 1 parking permit. This wasn't made clear at booking. Small shower hose needs replacing as does the caffitierre. Apart from these issues a really great place.

Decorated to a high standard with lots of accessories.

Not suitable for elderly or infirm people, it’s located up a steep hill from the town centre. Stairs were steep and bottom handrail is loose. Slats kept coming out of main bed under mattress and some were missing. Ingrained urine stains under toilet seat. Plug wouldn’t stay in on the bathroom basin. The customer service is atrocious! When we arrived, we couldn’t get in. On Booking.Com it said the key code would be texted to us on the day of arrival, it wasn’t. Over the next SIX HOURS!! we called the company over 50 times but nobody ever answered and we left messages that we couldn’t get in. Unbeknown to use they were emailing details of how to get in but the 4g data in the area is appalling and I wasn’t receiving any data, we were very upset and very angry at the end and ready to drive the two hours home when we got a call from a foreign sounding lady who said that entry instructions had been emailed to us, we told her that we weren’t receiving them and to just give us the key code which she eventually did and we kept her on the phone until we got in. During this time, we also contacted booking.Com and unbeknown to us again they cancelled the stay at the cottage and emailed us an alternative which obviously we didn’t receive. We tried to connect to the properties wi fi as per the guest instructions but couldn’t get it to work, the next day we looked at the router and it was completely different to what was in the guest book. I eventually connected and received numerous emails on how to get in and also because the property had been cancelled (which we didn’t do) we needed to pay again or leave. We also received a call from the landlord for payment which we did, I tried to voice our concerns to him but he wasn’t really interested, he just wanted payment. The wi fi connection is terrible the TV kept freezing. Other people have had similar issues, read the low feedback ones… We will never stay there again!

Cottage was good but contacting owners was impossible issues still not resolved regarding out of date parking permit which resulted in a fine. Would not book again
