Woodlands Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Our stay was fine room comfortable, staff were friendly breakfast was very good, good choice and quite adequate

Only disadvantage to room is I have difficulty with stairs and we had 3 flights of stairs to get to our room. Going up is fine its coming down is problem

Location worked for me. Car parking is plentiful close to reception.

Lack of choice for vegan food. First morning I mentioned to staff that beans under the same lid as black puddings meant that the beans were meat contaminated by black pudding sweat. No change though the following mornings. Spa facilities were charged extra which isn't made clear when booking

Room was very stuffy and hot even with window open and fan on but this is out with the control of the staff

Plenty of parking immediately outside the hotel.

Scaffolding around my part of the hotel up which anyone could have climbed and gained access to the room via open window which I could not close! Single room bed was appallingly hard - reminded me of boarding school / barrack room beds in which I’ve slept.
