Carlton Park Hotel Rotherham

The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good. The rest of the room was fairly basic and not much more to compliment.

As most annoyed by being woken up and asked to check out when I paid for late checkout. The TV did not work, direct control had no back to cover the batteries and the TV could not be accessed because it's behind a glass panel. Not labelled and the plug doesn't appear to be cleaned out properly in the shower, also no plug in the sink. There was a kettle there, but no water and I was not sure if the water from the bathroom could be used so I had to go and buy water. The rooms are not soundproofed, I could hear the people in the room next door having a chat, and to people upstairs seem to be sharing all night long so maybe there was some sort of what you're going on up there she's done the mobile business but I should have had to be able to hear everything going on.

Receptionist was helpful and friendly

Looked derelict Room on ground floor extremely warm and couldn’t run radiator off. Didn’t want to open windows either as the grounds look like waste ground Bed was old but comfy, could have done with another pillow but that’s just my preference

What once was obviously a nice hotel is run down and needs renovation.

Old run down, the room was dated, wall paper hanging off the wall, needed decorating badly. Found dirty mattress protector when the top sheet came off. No hot water later in the evening when we returned from our night out.

It had good wifi. I can't say anything else positive

Where do I start ? No restaurant. It stated it did breakfast but NO ! Gym was out of bounds. Lift didn't work. Tv wouldnt retune as the remote didnt work. I think the cleaner needs the sack and as for the garden it looks a death trap
