Very out dated.shower awas a joke never go back

Loads of parking spaces, room was perfectly clean and a good size

Minor little thing but the WiFi was a bit sketchy

Not much really, I wished I read some of the reviews beforehand. Curtains short but more importantly the fire door was not effective, reported to the receptionist.

It looks really run down and neglected

Lovely views from the middle floor bedrooms. Spacious bedroom. Bath with effective shower which made for a relaxing wash so much so that I almost left late every morning enjoying the shower. Ample parking. Room decor is dated but clean and tidy (except area of wiring for the TV which could do with some attention). TV is also quite dated but functional, remote control batteries had to be replaced, and eventually the actual remote, by the staff during check-in. The staff were helpful and responsive but I didn't wish to keep bothering them with minor issues that I'm sure they would be aware of, and hopefully working on.

I've stayed in other bedrooms at this hotel all of which I enjoyed overall. This particular bedroom fell short, and was not one of my enjoyable ones. Bedroom light in front of bathroom made buzzing noise throughout so had to turn it off, bathroom extractor fan was quite noisy with rattling sound, bathroom radiator had a continuous hissing noise and toilet roll holder was missing - with just the harness left on the tiled wall as evidence of a previous existence.

Is was un clean everywhere bathroom very unclean hygenely unclean warter cold not hot carpet not been hovered coffee n tea n sugar just thrown on side no heating cold there was a electric heater that was unsafe to put on due to ithaving a leg missing mess splattered up walls

Good location easily accessed from M1 and A1(M). Located on main road leading to the town centre but very quiet, even at peak times (only stayed weekdays). I found it easy to access more central locations within few mins drive. The main hospital with A&E and a few other health care facilities just a short walk away. Clean entrance area internally, free and adequate parking (guests need to self-register to confirm car Reg number and duration of stay at check-in). Room facilities, cleanliness, decoration genuinely okay for the average daily rate for the room I was allocated but not sure if all bedrooms are similar. Wifi worked well. I didn't enquire about breakfast or any other optional facilities.

Nothing major but just my observations that could help improve the experience of guests. 1. It would be most helpful to new guests to have a sign directing guests to the entrance in use at the other end of the building. 2. The initial section of the building is boarded off which was not the most welcoming sight - could be made less intimidating by tidying up its appearance - basic painting of the boarding could help.3. Owners may also consider putting in a speed breaker just before reception or a sign for drivers to slow down and be aware of emerging pedestrians down the steps from the reception - witnessed a pregnant looking lady stepping down from the reception area and car approaching the area at uncomfortable speed.
