It had absolutely everything, properly kitted out! Very clean and comfortable in lovely surroundings.

This is the second stay that we have had with this provider, albeit the last time was in another of the lodges. Although this one was smaller the accommodation was more suited to our needs with the dog. The wraparound outdoor space came as a welcome surprise to the dog and provided him with more ability to see off any danger. The bedroom also provided a lot of space and storage for our luggage. I also love the fact that it has 2 bathrooms, which means we can each take a space for our products. We had a lot of communication beforehand with the owner, due to our plans changing and needing to rebook dates, which resulted in being in this particular lodge. Tony was really helpful and forthcoming with options and supporting our requirements. This particular lodge, with more compact space and wraparound terrace, will definitely be our choice in the future. We had a wonderful second visit/honeymoon, despite having to cut it short due to the inclement weather and high winds (the pooch doesn't like it!).

The living room needed airing out a little more prior to our visit as someone had been smoking within or nearby to the living area. I purchased an oil diffuser on our first day, which may also prove beneficial to any further guests at The Lodge. Ii thought the standards had slipped slightly when I wasn't greeted by a basket of tea and biscuits, however I realised my mistake very quickly when my new husband opened the biscuit tin and found the missing treats (delightfully pointing out that the clue was written on the biscuit tin). I apologised to Tony quietly in my head and promised not to judge him so quickly next time...but I'm sure he'll forgive me anyway :)

Super lovely location, with a little town nearby, all clean and amazing instructions on how to use everything. We were hiking scafell pike, and it was a short drive but this made our stay super comfy and very enjoyable.
