Prestation et service irréprochables au Grand Hôtel Arimoto ! Accueil très professionnel, personnel aux petits soins. Repas Kaiseki délicieux avec des produits locaux. L'hôtel est idéalement situé, à proximité du port ferry, du temple, du tori, du départ pour la randonnée du Mont Misen. Un de nos meilleurs souvenirs du Japon !

La chambre idem sur les photos. Le fait d’avoir à disposition un kimono rend l’expérience plus authentique. L’hôtel dispose d’un bain public (femmes et hommes séparés) et c’est très agréable et avec tout l’équipement nécessaire (serviettes, brosse, sèche cheveux, coton, gel nettoyant corps et cheveux, ect).

Nous avons eu une chambre vu sur les machines à Clim. Donc la nuit on entendais tourner les machines et de même nous avons eu comme bruit comme un bâton qui tapait sur le sol ( 3 fois dans la nuit à des temps différents). La literie est inconfortable (matelas et coussin très dur). Nous avons trouvé que le rapport qualité/prix pour un 4 étoiles n’étais pas correct.

We stayed for one night in Miyajima and I'm a bit conflicted on how to rate this hotel. + The staff was very helpful and polite (maybe too polite). + The hotel is fairly easy to access, as it's a 12 minute walk from the port. + I don't think I need to comment about the surrounding area. It's Miyajima. It's gorgeous. + The room was extremely spacious and had all the amenities that you could need. + The beds were big and comfortable.

- I was saying how the staff is maybe too polite. To expand on that, I think the check in took somewhere around 30-40 minutes because the staff took out a map and started explaining to us what we can do around Miyajima, then presented each and every single facility of the room. That's very nice, I'm not saying it isn't, but I think they should ask you if you want that or not because it takes a lot of time and not everybody needs it. It wasn't our first time in Miyajima, we were familiar with the place and knew what we wanted to do. We told the staff that, but they continued nonetheless. We were in a hurry to check in and start going through our plan, but wasted a lot of time because of that and we felt it wouldn't be polite to tell them to speed things up. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness and it's nice to see such attentiveness, but it really should be on a request basis. Also, I'm not going to fault the hotel for being dated. Things get old, that's normal, however, there were a few things that in my opinion are not acceptable, especially at this price. - The outdoor bath tub was dirty, especially the areas surrounding it which was a bit shocking to see. I wouldn't have expected to see this at such a highly rated hotel. - The pillows for the outdoor seats were stained and moldy. Those things should be considered consumables as they're very cheap to replace. - Even around the room I could notice spots that weren't properly cleaned. If the cleanliness aspect was fixed, I would clearly recommend this hotel because overall it's amazing, especially if you get one of the open air bath rooms, but as it stands, I think the price is just too steep for what it offers. I've paid less for similar accommodations that were spotless and modern, so this one is a though sell

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hôtel aux prestations et service impeccables. La vue de la chambre sur les montagnes était très jolie. Nous avons pu profiter d'un dîner et d'un petit-déjeuner traditionnel, une belle expérience. Le onsen était très agréable et tranquille avec des plages horaires larges. L'île de Miyajima est un de nos meilleurs souvenirs. On recommande totalement.

We stayed in the Japanese style room with mountain view. It was a lovely place to stay, conveniently located, the facilities were excellent and the staff were so helpful and kind. There is also a free shuttle bus to bring you to the ferry terminal when you leave too. We really enjoyed our stay and we appreciated the efforts that the staff went to in making us feel welcome!
