Modern Town-Centre Apartment

The apartment was gorgeous! Very nicely decorated in a clean modern design. The beds were comfortable the bathroom gorgeous, loved the mirror with the built in ring light. When we arrived the hosts had left a very generous welcome package of food, milk, coffee and water. So appreciated after a long drive!

The only thing that we didn’t like was the location. First it was a bit tricky to find the entrance because you enter via a back lane or Wynd. There is a a very steep outdoor set of stairs that anyone with mobility issues would not be able to manage. I was glad that we had decent weather for our arrival and departure or getting suitcases up and down wouldn’t have been pleasant. The other thing about the location was the proximity to local bars. It seemed like they were very quite each night until about midnight when there were always some very loud revellers on the street outside the second bedroom.

The apartment was modern, spotlessly clean and in a very central location, just off the High Street, in Dumfries. Despite the very central location it was a very quiet few nights, in very comfortable beds. Beautifully decorated throughout, with all you need in a self contained apartment, including a coffee machine, with a selection of coffee pods to choose from, kettle, toaster, fridge, cooker, TV with Netflix, YouTube etc, free WiFi, towels, soap, shower gels etc. A lovely touch was a goodie basket with a selection of biscuits and crisps, a loaf of bread, with butter, milk and bottles of water, in the fridge, on arrival. However, not just the human guests were treated to a goody basket, there were even dog biscuits, and 2 dog bowls, for my fur baby, who accompanied myself, and my daughter, on this trip, with a dog toy waiting for him too. The communication was excellent and, I also had a late check agreed, free of charge. Would highly recommend.

This is not a complaint but, my only dislike was the outside stairs to the apartment, which were a bit of a struggle for my 12 year old pooch.

The apartment was equipped with absolutely everything we needed (and more). Everything inside was spotless and we were surprised with all the ‘essentials’ that were left for us - bread, butter, milk, biscuits, list goes on…. I would not hesitate to recommend this host - don’t be put off by what you see outside because inside was spot on!

Would’ve been easier to get the postcode of the ‘street’ at the back where we had to park as the sat nav took us round in circles and it is all one way. The bunk bed room was a little noisy at night with the hotel directly opposite but that wasn’t an issue for us - might be if you were travelling with children.

The flat is amazing everyrthing you could possiably want with all the extras toiletrys, coffee,tea buiscuts even bread and milk couldn't believe it also everything on your door step will defo be back Thankyou

There was nothing to complain about it was perfect

Immaculate and very high standard of everything from kitchen utensils to toiletries. Even a Nespresso machine with capsules! Milk, bread,biscuits,crisps - never had that before. So central. Easy access for shopping, buses and restaurants and cafes.

Outside area a bit grim but all was forgiven when we got inside!

On arrival we were surprised and delighted to find a lovely welcome pack of fresh bread and pint of milk and butter in the fridge. A very thoughtful touch especially as we arrived later than expected and had not been to a shop. The kitchen contained everything you would need from tea bags, condiments, spices to cooking oil, tinfoil etc. the apartment was spotless, very modern and comfortable and beds were extremely comfortable. As check out was 11am and our coach home was not until 3pm, the hosts very kindly let us leave our luggage to collect 2pm. There is a little bit of noise from the shops/pubs outside but located in the middle of the town, it is to be expected. You do have to climb quite a few stairs to get upstairs for entry to the apartment so maybe not suitable for anyone with mobility probs. Would 100% definitely recommend.

Wonderful Appartment with so many extras. Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean! Comfy beds and helpful hosts! Will definitely stay again.

Clean, modern refurb and a generous and comprehensive welcome pack.

The apartment was decorated to a high standard with a beautiful kitchen , it had all we needed for a short visit inc, cooking oil, milk bread,butter,tea and coffe and snacks.

The heating was on a timer in the eve and for the end of July, it was not necessary, we turned the thermostat and all the radiators which we could down , but the apartment got very warm, maybe a fan or something similar to allow air flow would be great .
