Mombasa Nyali Beachfront Apt

The apartment is spacious and has great ocean views. I like that there's a restaurant in the building and the location is close to malls, restaurants and other activities. The host was responsive and was kind enough to help us access some of our things that we had forgotten in the apartment after checkout. It is a nice place to stay if you want to be in the center of things but don't care too much to be in close proximity to the ocean for quick walks or dips.

I expected to have direct or close (walking distance) access to the beach as it is advertised as beachfront, but to get to the nearest beach is a 10-15 minute drive. This was a bummer as I had booked the place with that expectation. Maybe it was mentioned somewhere and I missed it? Also seemed odd to have to pay to use the pool as a resident (although it was a small cost) and that to use AC a guest would be responsible for the power charges. Luckily, the fans were enough and we didn't have to use AC. There was also no hot water for showering and some of the kitchen equipment could use some replacements.

The apartment is near the beach and close proximity to Nyali centre mall. There is ready transport to & from the apartment through taxi and tuk tuk.

The lift has an card key that created a bit of inconvenience upon arrival. This was however sorted during my stay
