The views were stunning. The staff were so helpful, particularly Harri who couldn't have done more for us. The food was good and the chalets were exceptional.

We had food poisoning from the dinner meal , the pillow case was dirty and the breakfast very disappointing! The construction needs a bit of work specially the bathroom and the windows

Fantastic forrest location overlooking a spectacular fast running river. Worth the slight detour! Excellent facilities including (very good) massages, swimming pool and hiking trails. The food we had was very well prepared. If you are looking for a place to stay in nature, this is it.

The food was great, the restaurant could benefit from some more decoration.

Die Lage war sehr toll, nettes Personal, gutes Abendessen, wir konnten früher ins Hotelzimmer als geplant, was sehr aufmerksam war.

Es war nicht sonderlich sauber, mein Kissen hatte Flecken, der Boden war nicht gewischt, überall Spinnweben. Ein Hinweis zum Zustand der Straße wäre gut gewesen, wir und unser Taxifahrer waren sehr überrascht und schockiert. Die Straße geht über in eine unbefestigte Straße mit großen Schlaglöchern und Steinen, man kann nur im Schneckentempo darüber fahren.

Everything was amazing. The room clean and large, the view from the room was amazing. The dinner and breakfast was very taste. The portions are very big.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The view is truly beautiful — it overlooks a peaceful river surrounded by lush greenery and nature all around. It’s a place with great natural charm and potential. However, unfortunately, the service and facilities were disappointing: • The restaurant had a very unpleasant smell, there was no air conditioning, and the breakfast options were extremely limited — it was either a Sri Lankan breakfast or a plain omelet. Nothing else was offered during our stay. • The path to the river and hotel surroundings are infested with leeches (leech worms). I was bitten badly on my way to the river — the leech stuck to my leg and I bled for over an hour. There were no first aid supplies available, and it took them a long time to bring even a bandage. I had multiple leech bites throughout the stay. • Monkeys frequently come to the balcony in the morning. Be careful: do not leave anything outside, or it will get stolen. Also, do not leave the balcony door open, or you may find monkeys inside your room. • There is no fridge in the room — just a water cooler, but the water is not cold. • Shampoo and shower gel were in very small quantities and only provided when we asked. • Towels were changed multiple times upon request, and the staff did respond when asked. • The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. • The road to the hotel is extremely rough, dark, and isolated. Drivers asked for extra charges after seeing the difficult route, even if the price was agreed upon earlier. ⚠️ Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a place with a great view and don’t mind the rough nature and basic service, it might work for you. But if you’re expecting comfort, proper facilities, or hassle-free access — this may not be the right place.

It is not safe for children, the way to the rooms is dangerous and there is no side protection.

We loved the nature, small tea plantation and the very well made walking trails among them, infinity pool, badminton courts, private waterfall, birds around, small bicycle ride, the view from the chalets, food, friendly staff (specially Hari) and everything + the friendly cat

The hotel is in the most beautiful location! An amazing experience to wake up in the morning and see the river flowing surrounded by all the beautiful trees. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. The food is good, and it’s great that they offer personal adjustments upon request. But most importantly – the staff was incredible!!! They gave us everything we needed, always smiled, and truly just wanted us to have the best time. The family who owns the hotel is lovely and does everything they can to make the experience as perfect as possible. If you’re looking for a slightly different hotel with breathtaking views – this is the one for you!

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel, which is nestled amid rolling green hills and offers a remarkable sense of escape. The rooms, tucked away in lush greenery, feature lovely views of the stream and surrounding landscape, making it ideal for those who enjoy the sights and sounds of nature for company. What truly sets the experience apart is the staff. Everyone is warm, friendly and always willing to help. A special shoutout to Hari, who managed every aspect of our stay, from arranging a local cooking demo at the hotel to showing us around the tea estate. It’s the family-run nature of the place that makes all the difference. The owning family lives on the property and welcomed us into their home to see how traditional Sri Lankan recipes are prepared. Interacting with them was an extremely pleasant and memorable experience. Moreover, meals are home-cooked, nourishing and served in portions so generous that you’ll never go hungry.
