The Admiral Cunningham Hotel

Lovely lady checked me in and spoke to me at the bar for a good while. Breakfast was good. Great power in the shower! I know the place as a pub quite well and have always liked it, but this was the first time I have stayed there.

Single bed was on the wonk big time! 2, what I think are punch holes in the bathroom. I would suggest that the rooms need a little freshen up and a paint, very dirty walls. Huge gap under room door into main corridor. Very flimsy lock for a female staying alone. Such a shame as I really like the place as a pub-would be good to see a little investment in the rooms so it could also be a successful hotel which appeals to more than just tradesmen

The power board in the room was not secured to the wall properly and there were loose cables to the TV etc. Not the fault of staff but some customers told me in no uncertain terms to leave 'their' area of the bar. Maybe they were cricket fans and didn't like the fact I was Australian

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food including dinner and breakfast both very good. Room was clean.

There wasnt any hot water to the room for a wash or a shower in the morning. This is unacceptable. Decor of rooms needs updating.

Absolutely fine for the price and what it is, and it is what it looks like on the pictures, it's more of a guest house of very basic rooms above a pub, it isn't a hotel in the normal meaning and don't expect it to be however it's perfectly fine for what most people are going to want, there's a bed, tv, kettle and small bathroom (think portaloo more than en suite bathroom) but again it's perfectly acceptable for bedding down for the night and it's clean and comfortable enough, the pub is excellent and had a lot of fun there so by the time I needed the room I was well enough cooked not to care and that's I think the whole point here.

The bathroom could have been done better and maybe some better insulation so you don't hear the snoring from next door?

The bathroom was a disgraceful, walls damaged sink remains of burnt cigarettes, bed so uncomfortable ,springs & mattress terrible,.I was surprised they allow you to stay overnight in such a pit. No breakfast at all ,only Tuesday- Thursday,that's NO good at all.

Bathroom, Bedroom, Beds,all walls damaged, it's not fit for stay overs,needs a total upgrade.

very, very, loud music, most of the time Not keen on the bathroom pods!
