Lakefront Getaway in Rotorua

Fantastic location and presentation. Well appointed for children and adults alike. Perfect for a family getaway. Loved the natural pool.

"Despite our late arrival, we experienced a smooth check-in process with prompt responses. Moreover, when we encountered an issue with our bathroom, it was resolved within an hour, which pleasantly surprised us. The spa facilities, both indoor and outdoor, were incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended!"

The bathroom facilities were somewhat limited, and on the other side, there were four beds with only a toilet but no bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient. Due to our late arrival, the house number was somewhat hidden and not easily visible.

We stayed there for 5 days. The host was lovely. She arranged for kitchen knives when we asked for it. She gave us an additional hour for check out. The kitchen was helpful for cooking. Used thermal pool for foot bath. Location and view is beautiful. It is right by the lake and can see ducks, water planes landing, helicopter etc.

The instructions for heater to the house was no clear and the first night we were all cold. There are no air cons in the room so the remaining nights were stuffy. The windows open little but general idea was to avoid house mosquitoes near the lake by keeping the windows closed. One full night the house was smelly from excess sulphur by the lake and we couldn’t sleep. Sleeping was also difficult with 2 dogs in the neighbourhood barking from sun down. I went to dry cloths outside in the evening and it was scary with the dogs barking at me all the time. Dishwasher’s stopper was broken so we had to hold the dishwasher down when loading and unloading. Shower drain in one bath is clogged and there was always water pooling by the feet so we could not quite shower properly in that bath. The exterior patio and pool area were excessively dirty. Fridge was not fully working first day then we had to set it out of holiday mode. Lost some food we stored first day. Was also surprised there were no knives in the kitchen so we couldn’t eat breakfast properly. But it was fixed same day as she sent new knives for us. Could have provided more towels for 4 people staying 4 nights.

The location was amazing. Being right on the lake was fantastic. We were a group of 5 and there was space for everyone. It was very peaceful.

We had no instructions on how to use the central heating so couldn't heat the house. Beds weren't overly comfortable.

House was clean and well presented Location was awesome

There were no sharp knives on the property, only 3 bread and butter knives. Dishwasher was out of action and no tea towels. The thermal heating did not work nor did the pool due to no water coming from the tap when we tried to use it. Advised house manager, had no fix. Could not get TV’s in the bedrooms to work. A written overview of the house would be helpful. It wasn’t clear what hot water pool we could use - or was it both?

Great location next to the lake with a nice big lawn. Proximity to local facilities and shops was excellent

The central heating was quite noisy at night when trying to sleep and the dishwasher was not fully installed
