Sincere Wilderness Home stay

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into the family by Romeni and her parents with big hugs on arrival. Communication with Romeni was excellent. This homestay is a little gem. The views are breathtaking. You can easily walk in to town but we chose to get a tuktuk back as we were tired after a long day. We had the best meal of our stay in the evening prepared by Romeni’s mother. What an experience. Romeni arranged a tuktuk for our early start to the train station and helped us change our plans as the train line has opened more since we booked our tickets. Comfy bed, spacious room, amazing view and the best hospitality! Thank you.

We had a great time at this cute property. It felt like being in a pretty cottage back in the UK! We were there in June and it was quite cold in Nuwara Eliya, so be prepared with some warm layers to wear even indoors. Romeni was very kind and offered a hot water bottle to help keep me warm. The highlight was the food! The food was so delicious that we stayed in for dinner on both nights. We even asked if they could teach us how to cook some of the dishes and they very kindly did. We are very grateful for this because the food was truly outstanding… some of the best we’ve had in all of Sri Lanka. Thank you very much for your warm and attentive hospitality!

Romeni is een heel aardige en behulpzame eigenaresse. Samen met haar moeder heeft zij heerlijk voor ons gekookt. De ontbijten waren ook erg lekker. Vanuit het chalet heb je prachtig uitzicht op Nuwara Eliya. Je bent in 10 minuten lopen in het centrum. Het chalet is knus ingericht en Romeni zorgt voor dekens en een kruik als je het koud hebt. Ga zeker mee met de wandeling van haar vader Lal, als je daar tijd voor hebt! Je loopt door de jungle en over de theeplantages met prachtige uitzichten. Wij vonden de hond ook erg leuk!

Supernette Hosts, die bei allen reiseorganisatorischen Fragen weitergeholfen haben. Exzellentes Sri Lankisches Frühstück und Abendessen, schön gestaltete Unterkunft mit großem Bad und wunderschöner Aussicht vom Balkon auf Nuwara Eliya.

Es fehlte ein Schrank, in den man das Gepäck hätte verstauen können. Tisch und Stühle bieten zwar Ablagefläche, aber das Zimmer sah im Nu sehr unaufgeräumt aus.

Staying here really makes you feel like being a part of the family. Starting from the warm hugs as a greeting from the aunty to the best food we had on our trip and great recommendations for a guide to take us around the tea plantations and surroundings we could not have been happier staying here.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce homestay. Les propriétaires sont adorables et leurs animaux trop mignons. Le logement est très confortable, avec une petite terrasse sympathique. Et les petits déjeuner étaient excellents. Enfin, nous avons pu faire une jolie balade avec le Papa autour de Nuwara Eliya (en supplément). Merci pour ce beau séjour !

Niks eigenlijk

I loved how spacious the cottages was, but cosy at the same time. The balcony and the view is amazing and if you set an early alarm you will have a pretty sunrise. Moreover the hosts are very kind and helpfull I would have loved to stay here longer to be able to do a hike they suggested! Also they helped me out with fixing my transport to my next destination. Both the dinner and breakfast were lovely, I felt very at home! Thankyou!!

It is a short walk to get to the city centre, not a problem for me. But at night maybe less comfortable. The hosts can serve diner so I eat at there place, but if you check they can probably help you out with tuk tuk.
