River Exe Cottage waterfront

Kitchen was well equipped. Nice veranda and garden.

The bathroom was a bit small and toilet was on a different floor.

Wonderful location. Very comfortable beds. Good amenities.

Location was really close to the centre and short train journey to the beach. Large tv screen, televisions in all rooms and outside space. Quiet location and next door to a really nice pub/restaurant.

No major issues

Location of property was good. Kitchen well equipped. The balcony/garden would have been a great asset if the weather had been kinder to us.

Parking for the property is a 10 minute walk away, not great when it is raining, or you have guests who are less mobile, all the parking nearby is residents parking only. We were a family of 5 adults and found that the property was too small for our needs. The downstairs lounge and kitchen are tiny and has insufficient seating to be comfortable but you also couldn't fit any more seating in. Definitely more suited to a small family or 2 adults with young children. Stairs are steep, and aren't suitable form the less mobile. Toilet is on the 2nd floor of the property and bathroom is on the 3rd floor, both are snug. Bedroom 3 is on the top floor and the stairs are quite steep and not suitable for the less mobile.

I stayed at River Exe Cottage waterfront for two weeks with my 3 kids (from 6 to 14) and we had an amazing time We loved the position of the cottage extremely close to the girls school and the town centre as well as the park and the green part of the town. We loved the style of the interior of the house which is fully accessoried for four people We had a great time also in the exterior part and the lovely garden Free parking 7 minutes walk from the house

No link to the center we had to drive to the shops

The location was excellent.

Would have been nice to have fresh milk in the fridge, but not a big issue.

Great place to stay. Would recommend if you make vacation in exeter.

This was self catering therefore breakfast not provided. The cottage was refurbished to a very good standard but, because of the layout it had a lot of stairs with the shower in the eaves of the cottage and sadly not suitable for a larger guest but well furnished.

The parking, we now know was a long way from the cottage and I felt it should have been made clear that parking is on the other side of the canal, completely unsuitable for me as I cannot walk long distances due to severe health conditions. I have to add that, had I had known this I would have never made the booking. If parking was nearby, which does not look possible without agreement and payment to neighbours, this would then be very nice indeed.
