River Exe Cottage waterfront

I liked the fact that the owner popped in to see if we were comfortable. The information book was very helpful. The quality of what was provided was very good and everything that we needed was already there. The apartment was very clean. There were two other options for sitting other than inside. Location was great. We would highly recommend the River Ewe Cottages to everyone.

There is nothing that we did not like.

The location was ideal. It was close to the university, and within easy walking distance of the city centre. It was very pleasant along the river, and next to a very good gastro pub.

There were not enough seats for five people staying there to sit watching TV. It needs another chair, Someone always sat on breakfast bar chair, or beanbag, and the breakfast bar seats were stylish, but too cumbersome, and only seated 4 round the breakfast bar. Also, nowhere to place hot drinks next to sofa. Needs shelves or coffee table. The TV could not access Terrestrial channels. There were no shelves in either bathroom to put toothbrushes, and not enough towels. Only one toilet on middle floor. The plumbing needs attention, as with a lot of rain, it overflowed outside from the grids. That was unpleasant. There was no coffee-making machine.

Warm, cosy, spotless, great central location for Exeter.

A parking space nearer would be great but otherwise an excellent location, great property and value for money.

Nice clean quiet location and modern

Parking was way too far away my 80 year old mother could not walk it had to ask the pub next door if we could use their car park which thankfully said yes Toilet very small so was bathroom which was just a sink and bath with shower inside bath which again my mum could not get into Need to be young and fit Also not enough sitting for 4 people only a 3 seater Had a bean bag for the 4th person ok if your a kid

Location was what we wanted else we would have stayed somewhere else. View would have been good if the rain stopped. Three bedrooms was good too and beds were comfortable.

Only 1 toilet not ideal for 4 persons. Lots of steep stairs. Cups were massive, need just small coffee and tea cups. Heating was confusing. No idea when it came on and went off seemed random. No dryer was very inconvenient due to weather. Only lounge/sofa was a pull out bed and not very comfortable you could feel the frame through the cushions and not enough seating room for 4 persons. Nowhere to hang 4 wet towels after showers. Welcome pack lacked information on the cottage itself. No washing machine instructions. Sugar bowl was disgusting. Very lack of basic welcome goods as received in other locations. Lots and lots of spiders inside and out of property.

I would highly recommend staying at River Exe Cottage. Clean, modern, very comfortable & a great location. Fun games to play with the family. The owner, Ian very helpful & prompt service when we needed extra bed linen.

The house is so cute and the facilities are filled with quality too. They have everything, so nice. The rooms are so nice too. 10 out of 10.
